Part of Huckabee’s “defense” was that even the prosecutors thought the 106/107 yr sentence for a sixteen year old was way over the sentencing norm. [But why was it so severe? Is there something we — and maybe Huckabee — don’t know?] I think Mr H is a good man, but not one I’d put into a post where he’d again have to weigh compassion against justice: we’re way overboard toward compassion.

HTH did you ever find THAT?!? That is one sick site.

I already had my bath for the night; now I need another.

“... I’m not justifying this mans small repayment but I do c it has KARMA!!!! You can’t KEEP KILLINGS BLACKS EVERY6MINS OF EVERYDAY n THINK @ SOME POINT SOME1 ISN’T GONNA LOOSE IT”

Guess math & logic aren’t this dude’s strong suit:

60*24*365/6 = 87,600 blacks killed/year by police. That would be rather noticable, and pretty hard to hide or cover up.

I imagine he does do better calculating $$/gram, though.

First let me say that I support law enforcement 100%.

Having said that, I am 100% against the abuses of power I’ve witnessed lately: tazing everything that moves, military-grade weaponry used on American citizens, the blatant corruption that exists and goes unpunished.

I believe that these abuses of power can and do damage the reputation of law enforcement.

If they are perceived as an enemy of regular people then they will no longer exist as real people (with wives, husbands, career, children, hopes and dreams, etc) in their hearts and minds. To the average Joe they are intimidating and oppressive on sight. To the dregs, they become much easier to kill.

All these Gung-ho cops dressing in full military outfits, armed like they’re off to full-scale battle, bad attitudes, on some tyrannical power-trip are, in my mind, ensuring that the number of cop murders rise.

A perfect example was how police treated unarmed college kids in Pennsylvania recently. It was a total overreaction and it was very scary to witness.

If cops like the power-trip they get from being ‘scary’ then they should expect the other side of it—people loathe what they fear.

All of this is light years away from the friendly, neighborhood cop we knew and respected growing up.

People are going to respond to what law enforcement does. If they abuse the people they are supposed to “Protect and Serve” then it follows that they will respond in kind.

This is trickle down, and if the cops misbehave, the people surely will.

The absolute worse thing that could happen is for law enforcement to do more of the same, or even increase it, in response to the recent rise in cop murders.

It must stop or we all lose.

Agree. . .nothing safer about the ‘Left’s’ America. Pathetic that any of our ‘men in uniform’; rather that stand proud; must feel like they are now, walking targets for such ignorance.

I don’t think you thought at all before posting your ignorant post regarding my tagline.

President Bush liberated over 50 million people, he protected us from another attack after 9/11 and gave us real hope and courage by setting the example. He did his best to bring private ownership back to America...try thinking Social Security. He stood up proudly and compassionately for the Right to Life at every turn. He saw the bigotry of the democrat party and the harm it was causing in abortion and education. He did his best to help minorities in both regards.

President Bush did not fail us...we failed us.

So, perhaps you can think of 17 better Republican Presidents, I personally cannot think of any who are/were better men than President Bush. It isn’t my standards that are low, it is yours that are non-existent other than going along with what some others think. Shame on you...

You are confused about this issue. Huckabee has stated quite clearly that the five member prison panel and the sentencing judge all recommended commuting the bad guys sentence. The prosecutors put nothing on the public record, they were mute. The perp was a sixteen year old when he committed those crimes...something else any reasonable person would consider.

No, Huckabee did nothing wrong...it was a good decision at the time with the facts he had to work with. Like Huck said himself...if he had had any idea this monster could do such things he would have never commuted his sentence. I take him at his word, I am not a fan of his for President, but I respect him as an honest man trying to do good.

BTW, for those who do not seem to understand...Huck reduced the sentence from 108 years to 47. He did not release the perp, he did not parole him, he did not pardon him. The perp remained in prison after this decision until he was paroled by those who were most knowledgable of him.

President Obamao needs to stop the parties and take a long working vacation.”

They are disgusting. Glenn Beck did an excellent job of going back to the initial 10 inauguration parties and giving us an update of ALL the parties they’ve held vs. the decline in the economy and jobs. I was surprised to say the least at the number of parties/people invited!

“Two police officers shot in Rochester”
Staff reports
Local News – December 2, 2009 - 5:00am

SNIPPET: “About 11:20 p.m., two officers from the Rochester Police Department responded to reports of a home invasion at an apartment building at 265 Driving Park.

When the two male officers reached the third floor, they were fired upon. One officer was shot once, the other shot twice, in the upper body.

Both officers were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, and both have undergone surgery or will undergo surgery, but both officers’ injuries appear to be non-life-threatening, according to Rochester police Officer LaRon Singletary.

The suspect, one male, is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous.”

“Two RPD Officers Shot; 2 Persons of Interest Being Interviewed”

Last Update: 6:35 am
Print Story | Share this Story

SNIPPET: “(Rochester, N.Y.) - Police are interviewing two people of interest, as they continue their investigation of the shooting of two Rochester police officers.

Police Chief David Moore tells us the two male officers were responding to a 911 call around 11:20pm Tuesday night. Moore says the call was made from inside an apartment building at 265 Driving Park Avenue. The caller was screaming into the phone and dispatchers could not understand him or her. The officers were shot shortly after they arrived.

Moore, who went to the hospital to check on the officers Tuesday night, tells us one officer was shot three times; in the hand, arm, and chest area. The shot to the chest did not penetrate the officer’s bullet-proof vest. The other officer was struck in the lower leg.

The RPD said the officers’ injuries were not-life threatening, and both are in stable condition. One officer is out of surgery, with the other officer’s surgery is delayed due to swelling of the wound.

The officers’ names are not being released, until all family members have been notified.”

I think you have it exactly backwards. The cops are now on the defensive day and night. The trickle down is the violence against law abiding citizens and they are, at times, taking preemptive action. If you can't see that then you are blind.

I agree. Political correctness destroys again. The socially dysfunctional are protected by PC, and told they're just innocent victims of someone else.
In order to keep them as left wing voting blocks, these people are told they're the normal ones, and everyone else is worthy of punishment. Anyone who votes the wrong way is the enemy.

Huckabee did nothing wrong.

you might have missed it but yesterday there were threads on here with Huckabee saying he takes full responsibility

One of the reasons I would never vote for the religious socialist is because of him letting out way too many criminals early infact the most of any Gov.
Just because he has a religious background does not make me think I should vote for him just like I will not vote on a person based on where they’re from, religion, ethnic background etc.
It’s because of ignorant voting is why we have this buffoon in the white house now
It was his final decision to let the killer go

And just two weeks ago a perp hit and run’d seven people on Plymouth Avenue, maybe a mile or so away from this scene. Unlike our local Gannett rag, the Democrat & Communist, Jihadi Watch reports the hit and run driver as praising allah. The scene of this shooting is in the middle of Diverse City. Flashing blue lights at the top of telephone poles are cameras and directional gunshot microphones. They are at nearly every block.
