President Obama does not plan to accept any of the Afghanistan war options presented by his national security team, pushing instead for revisions to clarify how and when U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government, a senior administration official said Wednesday.
That stance comes in the midst of forceful reservations about a possible troop buildup from the U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, according to a second top administration official.
In strongly worded classified cables to Washington, Eikenberry said he had misgivings about sending in new troops while there are still so many questions about the leadership of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, the official told the AP.

Obama won’t be happy until he gets someone to give him a plan that allows us to lose but at the same time enables him to claim we won.
The problem is: he can’t lie about the number of troop casualties, and the media is only slightly able to use propaganda to help him with public opinion.

The Undecider-in-Chief is stalling until its “Copenhagen Time.”
It’s really a puzzle why Americans continue to volunteer to serve in the military and risk their lives, while BHO and a majority in Congress don’t support them.
When you are in a hole, the first step is to stop digging.
Actually, perhaps a better analogy is that the first step in treating a wound is to stop the bleeding. POTUS apparently wants to work on the physical therapy program, then decide if it’s worth it to stop the bleeding.
The hole gets deeper every day this unqualified adolescent tries to figure out his job. He wants clarity today on an ‘exit strategy’ when we are a looooong way from getting out of a situation that changes every day. What fantasy is that? He hadn’t lived long enough or read enough to understand the complexities of history when he was elected, and he hasn’t learned anything in the intervening year.
STOP THE BLEEDING, MR. PRESIDENT. THEN figure out the way out.
He has vacillated so much on this, I’m starting to think “Hot N Cold” should be the his theme song at this point.
Under Obama, our exit strategy is going to be a hurried evacuation in about 12 - 18 months.
He's going to lose Iraq, too.
Or “Should (We) Stay or Should (We) Go”.
