WILMINGTON, Del. -- Delaware Republican congressman Michael Castle is announcing that he's running for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Democrat Joe Biden last year after Biden was elected vice president.
In a brief, exclusive interview with The Associated Press before his news conference, Castle said he's running because he can do more for Delaware in the Senate than in the House.

Castle isn’t my idea of the kind of Republicans I would like to see elected, but nobody filling that mold could win in Delaware. I think it would be sweet for a Republican to take the seat Biden held for 32 years and was trying pass it on to his son.
Like the first Biden wasn't freaking stupid enough, now we have his spawn coming on the scene.
I can see the family resemblence - he's plagiarizing his father's job. I hope Neil Kinnock's son gives a good speech.

Seems to me that a 70 year old, 9 termer should be resigning. He’s been in Washington too long already. Old RINO and young Dem reminds me too much of that last election & we all know how wonderful that was for the Pubbies!

I don’t know. Tom Carper beat Bill Roth primarily using Bill’s age against him. Mike is 70 and Beau is in his 30s, I think.
