Wilson apologizes: 'I let my emotions get the best of me'
CNN ^ | September 9, 2009 | CNN

Posted on 09/09/2009 7:37:05 PM PDT by Severino

“This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.”

It is archived on Youtube. Apologize all you want, the truth has been saved and digitized.

Millions said the same thing.

Darnit, Joe! What about Obama’s lack of civility?! He called Sarah Palin and the rest of us concerned Americans liars just before your outburst!

VERY disappointing...I’m guessing he got a lecturing call from an Arizona senator whose sportcoats are often sent to the cleaners to get the shoeprints removed from the backs.

Still, it cannot be unsaid, the moment cannot be unseen and unheard. It is the defining memory of the event, pushing aside whatever mush Obama read from his teleprompter.

He was right to apologize for lack of civility.

But I’m really glad he yelled it.

This tag will stick during the coming weeks.

Exactly right.

As the LIBS know so well - and Van Jones taught us - the apology really means nothing.

What matters is that millions who were watching heard the TRUTH spoken to the Liar in Chief.

It made Obama seethe with anger.

It gave validity to the millions of Americans who have READ THE BILL and KNOW Obama was lying.

Fine - apologize - as you did - but the deed is done and well done!

It matters not if Joe apologizes. He’s the story not Obama’s speech. Much like Palin and the Death Panels..Obama isn’t the news Palin was.

Nothing to apologize for.

Still, he had the guts to say it, it’s out there and it’s the truth (Zero is a liar)!

The AP reports:

Following the speech, it was Obama's Republican rival from last year's presidential race for the White House who defended the president.

It was "totally disrespectful," Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said on CNN of Wilson, a conservative who has opposed Obama's economic remedies. "There is no place for it in that setting, or any other, and he should apologize for it immediately."

Screw you McCain.

“Will Obama apologize for essentially calling Sarah Palin a liar?”

He basically called all Republicans liars. There will be no apology from him.

The Libs have NO SHAME. They heckle and criticize everyone with whom they disagree, but then someone gives them a dose of their own medicine and he’s browbeaten into an apology... I just keep thinking of that POS Rangel smiling tonight, like he has the world by the b_lls. These people have no idea of right or wrong.

it's a hell of an apology. he didn't apologize “to anyone who might be offended”.

He apologized for his lack of civility, not his sentiments.

Not a problem. Mission already accomplished. Obama speech completely derailed. POINT: WILSON!

You're right. It's like when a judge tells a jury to disregard what they just heard.
