Glenn Beck: "This week, by the end of the week, you will see that something that everyone feels in their gut is wrong but nobody's really exposed it. It's going to be exposed this week. And, you will see by the end of this week that people will go to jail."

Sure seems to be the case.
I watched his show today. Didn’t he preface the “something we all feel in our gut is wrong, people will go to jail” with “something we all see every day?”
“Something we all see every day but no one says anything. Something we all feel in our gut is wrong.”
I didn’t know he had a cousin.
He doesn’t. It’s a Buddy System two slice toaster.
Correction:
Two slice poster toaster...
There. I fixed it.
‘fer shure I like outsied the box mo’betta’
Repeat of Beck on now.
LOL.
THX.
Have a blessed Wed.
I swear. Usually I am just going along with the puch line of other posters but yours improves on the old joke.
The intelligence of burnt toast from a two slice poster toaster.
That is funny! erh, well I think? Hmmm?
We’ve been listening to Glenn for years. You posted at minimum three posts saying Glenn teases and doesn’t deliver.
If you are going to make accusations it would be more convincing if you could you give us some examples?
LOL. So I’ll be using 8 muscles.
In 2007, Oakland, California-based lawyer Van Jones launched the advocacy group Green For All,
Jones pushed to get the 2007 Green Jobs Act passed; the Act earmarks $125 million in grants to train young people in eco-friendly trades. Closer to home, Green For All persuaded the Oakland City Council to put $250,000 into the Green Job Corps, which trains underemployed young adults to independently pursue opportunities in the new-energy economy. http://www.naturalhomemagazine.com/2008-09/back-porch-chats-van-jones.aspx
Today, the Department of Labor (DOL) released grant guidelines for $500 million in green jobs training, including $150 million for “Pathways out of Poverty” grants!
This is the money Green For All and our supporters fought hard to have included in the Recovery Act that Congress passed in February. After the bill passed with our language included, it was the DOL’s turn to develop specific guidelines to determine how the funding will be distributed.

What I went looking for that was there...the $500 million in stimulus cash that is being funneled through his advocacy group. Those that know how may want to screen shot the links posted above.
“But it works both ways. I know theres plenty of FReepers who have multiple old logins to Democrat Underground, going so far as to donate a few bucks to DU to get in their good graces. Then, when the mood or opportunity strikes, throw in a good stink bomb just to wind the DUmmies up.”
I think that’s an utterly despicable tactic and am really disgusted as well as disappointed to think that FReepers would do such a thing.
No wonder we have global warming, dissension in politics and Barbra Streisand.
Thank you for Your Information!....:-) It looks like they are “DISAPPEARING” all of Van Jone’sHistory just like they ERASED ALL OF OBOZO’S PAST HISTORY AND LIFE ACTIVITIES!!
We would be much better off today if We had Mr. PUTIN as Our President!! He wouldn’t be trying to destroy AMERICA the way OBOZO is trashing Our Dear Country!
OBOZO! A Special Message to You: AMERICA IS A CHRISTIAN NATION!!!
“Amazingly there are people who actually buy into the notion that the longer one is registered on a forum, the more like it is what he/she says is credible. It is about the dumbest idea imaginable.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Assuming we live in a world of only two choices, let me flip your statement around and give you an even dumber idea:
Namely, that the shorter time a poster is registered on a forum, the more likely that what the poster says is credible. Now THAT would be the dumbest idea imaginable.
However, to get to your point, which I do think is valid
;)
Hovering a mouse over a poster’s name to see whether it is an “old timer” or a “newbie” before making a response to the point being made - now that strikes me as illogical.
If a point or comment is well made and worthy of a response, who cares who made it? Plus, we also should always welcome members who can support the cause, else we stagnate.
Further navel gazing:
I have noticed a marked decline in respect towards other posters, regardless of length of time. You will note many older members commenting on this, particularly when the FReepathons seem to lag.
In 2001, there seemed to be much more courtesy expressed toward others. You still see that occasionally here, particularly from the old timers and on Daily Threads. It is a refreshing thing.
Civility and respect for divergent views goes a long way to forum growth.
I will always have tremendous respect for the majority of regular contributors who are far ‘older’ than I am in terms of membership tenure.
Many here do practice mouse hovering, but hopefully more to welcome a new member if the post is to the point. Unfortunately, perhaps because we are living in the Age of The Kenyan, we see fewer welcoming alerts and more Zot alerts.
Final thought, don’t let date sign-ups fool you into thinking someone is a “newbie”. There are of us who, for various reasons, have taken on a new handle, and still have a good and long posting history under their old identity.
True, but unlike most such teasers, this one’s a prediction that leaves him with a lot of egg on his face if he’s wrong.
I expect we’ll know by Friday exactly what he’s talking about.
Geaux Becque Geaux!
And just yesterday I read a thread where a newbie made a point & was zotted just because the people on the thread didn't like what the person said. There wasn't any attempt to refute the noob's point (in fact, it was probably irrefutable, being that it was fully factual). So rather than cogitate the message which was unpleasant to them they just eliminated the messanger for being a 'newbie troll'. Other people with expertise on the subject who have longer tenure were able later to make the very same point as the zottee, but the noob got wasted before I had a chance to agree with him this time. Perhaps the zotters were right to be suspicious, but they still missed a great opportunity to defend their own viewpoint on the matter, it seems to me.
Speaking of suspiciousness, it's funny because this discussion got going on this thread because a newbie made a comment accusing others of being long-term trolls. You see that an awful lot around here & frankly you do have to wonder if it's they are putting everybody on to undermine morale & foment division, Alinsky-style.
Kinda like all the people who post 24/7 around here that all republicans suck, they stopped donating to republicans years ago & will never vote repubican again complaining about RINOS! Lol. So you've got an admitted, avowed non-republican bitching that republicans aren't republican enough. Kinda like an Anglican complaining that Catholics aren't orthodox enough or something.
Seems to me, if you pick up all your marbles and go indie or third party you pretty well forfeit the crediblity to offer acceptable advice on how members of other parties run theirs, or at the very least you can't complain when your 'advice' is considered suspect. Why should a political party take seriously the wishes or 'advice' of somebody who admits they're not even a member of that party? And how is it that avowed non-Republicans so often fancy themselves the supreme arbiters of RINO-hood around here, then? Cracks me up.
But we'd all do well to realize that some of the people shreiking "RINO troll" the loudest brag regularly about the fact that they do so here while back over at KOS, DU, FL, TP etc. So the newbies complaining about newbs or trolls or rinos could indeed be legitimate (having changed their nic) but it's also true that they could be sockpuppets. Then, to complicate things even further, there are people whose only contribution to this forum is that they accuse everybody of being trolls or rinos or noobs. It's not that they are DU plants, it's only because that's the extent of their ability to debate! So ya never know.
The moral of all this I guess is just don't worry so much about who's a troll or a noob or a rino. Just make your points, defend what you believe when given the opportunity to try to persuade everybody to your viewpoint. If you're debating with a noob or troll & score some points, who cares if they were a newbie troll - you've honed your argument a little more & you might have even convinced someone else entirely reading your post that you're right.
Worth repeating. Bookmarking your good observations as usual ;)
