If a Marine ever wants to go into the Army (God forbid!) they don’t have to go through Army bootcamp, but if one of one of your berrypicking Army comrades wants to become a Marine they have to go through Marine Corps bootcamp from scratch. That should tell you all you need to know about the difference between the Army and the USMC!
