He might as well as retire, he's currently just an entertainer like Johnny Carson, it's like going to a good movie, or watching a good football game, Savage is right, he's just taking up space, serving no useful purpose unlike Beck, where was Savage on the Tea Parties, where was Savage on the Townhall protests, where is Savage on the march on D.C.?
Instead of mobilizing his audience for activism to help save the country, he's just asking for donations to clear his name and entertaining us nightly with stories. He's right, he's not an organizer, he needs to move out of the way and let leaders like Beck take over. I betcha he just got his ratings and he's tanking big time.

Savage has always lived and died by his ratings, you think he could stand to continue on the air if both the ‘hemorrhoid with ears’ and Groucho Marx surpasses him in the ratings, joining the Golfer and Wallbanger ahead of him, that would kill Savage, better to retire than face that prospect.

Ego? what ego?/sarc
Doc S. has that. I think that is why Beck is so successful lately. He comes across as a plain guy compared to the others. On the other hand I always enjoy Doc S.’s food stories, etc.

Screw Checkers and Lormand!

where was Savage on the Tea Parties, where was Savage on the Townhall protests, where is Savage on the march on D.C.? Where are all these guys on the Savage ban from England. If they can get Savage, these guys will be next. Then they will shutdown FR.

Doc is an entertainer, always was, always will be, Beck has a purpose, said so on the air today, I just started listening to his radio program yesterday because I like what I see of him on Fox, I'm sure others have been doing so too, he's found his niche and is becoming a force to reckon with, Savage is becoming irrelevant and probably knows it, he's in the twilight of his career.
Savage is not the type to sit around and do nothing, if he retires he will probably die soon thereafter.
To: whatisthetruth
“if he retires he will probably die soon thereafter.”
I think not. he mentioned Johnny Carson, who lived out of the limelight after retirement and he was much more known than Doc S.

Two different personalities, how many times has Savage said he goes crazy if he’s not on the air. Now all of a sudden he wants to go crazy? Doesn’t compute.
To: ColdWater; dynachrome; rockabyebaby
Haha, kinda thought that would be deleted, but my point was made anyway, Savage is just not the right ‘color’.

LOL! Couldn’t think of a more perfect word to use, thats how the other talkers are treating Savage, the way the whites used to treat blacks back in the 50’s.

Retiring shortly after getting his name removed from that list ------ I don't like the thoughts I'm having about this. "Sell out" puts it mildly. He won't be getting a nickle more of my money. ----
Really puts a sour taste in my mouth thinking he's only on the air right now to collect money for his legal defense fund.
He needs the money? Sell a house. He just bought something on the east coast didn't he? How'd he manage that?
To: dynachrome
On the other hand I always enjoy Doc S.s food stories, etc. As long as he doesn't talk about frying stuff in olive oil.
