How do you draw the line between private and official business?
When is a governor ever “off the clock” and not a representative of her state and not subject to being quoted or photographed?
Very sticky. Impossible. Especially when stalkers were determined to prosecute Sarah and filed charges even when she wore logo clothing to her husband’s sled race.

-—”Letting politicians use private mail accounts for official business is bad policy...”-—
Private cars, too - not to mention taking calls on a private cell phone or in one’s own house. Some of these politicians even fly commercial for official business!
Can you believe that some of these bastards even occasionally write things on paper that does not have explicit, official letterhead on it - even post-it notes, sometimes!
And those damn Conservatives sometimes want to get the private sector involved in official business. How dare they!

Yep, the Alaskan Legislature needs to pass three bills:
- Government business in the Sunshine patterned after Florida's law with that moniker.
- Loser pays in law suits.
- Andree McLeod is barred from filing suit for 10 years, being a habitual Loser.

So a govt official should not be permitted to use their PRIVATE vehicle conduct State business?? An email account is only “private” if no one is given the address. Once she started using it, the account is no longer private.

I doubt thats the case. Maybe when he hacked it but when the kids leagle expenses started rolling in he probably said “O S4lt”

Any other ruling and the governor wouldn’t be able to use her desk at home to write a letter or her car to deliver it to the PO. This claim was nuts.

Exactly. Like an up-poster said, being governor is a 24x7x52 job. It seems to me that sometimes it's expedient to send off a note with whatever is at hand.
The difference should be between private and personal emails. We can't have a situation where somebody goes on a fishing expedition demanding to look at ALL email accounts created by someone on the ruse of wanting to audit official business from these accounts.

The Judge is right. If the law does not specifically forbid it, then it's not illegal.
How many $$$ in taxpayer dollars were wasted on this due to this liberal insanity witchhunt remains to be seen, though.
