If they're not going to hold town hall meetings, hold town halls without your rep. Do it in front of their district offices, local park, library.
The 1 Video camera revolution
Set up a podium for the rep with their name on it Solicit questions from attendees, people on the street, friends, family. After each question cut to the podium with five seconds of silence.
Post video on youtube, alert media outlets, post links to the town hall on TV station message boards, local newspaper message boards, send to Teaparty facebook, send to Glenn Beck, Mark Levine, Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Fox news, Hugh Hewitt.
Get an inflatable doll or a mannequin and dress him up and put him in a chair or at a podium and then ask him questions. When he refuses to answer, tar and feather him and run him out of town on a rail.
GREAT IDEA! Put up posters/pics of the Rep/Sen from that District on Podium with the name...let’s do it.
Maybe they will get the message...lol
Invite the media.
Call it a Citizens’ Townhall Meeting.
Are the Republicans holding town meetings? If so, where is the YouTube video. What I see is all Dems. Of course the Dems are more interesting but a nice calm discussion with a good solid Republican Congressman would play well on YouTube just as a contrast with the wild meetings that the Libs are now about to abandon.
Hang an empty suit on a rack.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
Hello Representative ZACK SPACE, BWAH HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
Heres an idea-hold public Town Halls anyway and invite prospective primary opponents both Dem and Repub to attend and
participate in the discussions. Circumvent the tasbard Congress incumbents who wish to hide from the people.
Sen. Charles Grassley is going to have town meetings in Iowa on Wednesday. Last I heard, he was undecided as to how he’d vote on the health care bill. If he thinks having an R behind his name is going to help him, he’s got another thing coming!
great idea!
My cowardly rep has canceled ALL August meetings, public and private so he can hide.
Use the Michael Moore approach. Find out where he lives, what country clubs he belongs to, what homosexual church he attends, and then approach him with a video camera and start pummeling him with questions like "Have your read the bill?"
I’m not a low life like Moore. I will just go to his office in Nashville and ask to speak to him.
Take a camera phone or a camcorder. We need these responses to go viral.
BRILLIANT!!!!!
Ted Kennedy is too busy receiving medical care none of us will be able to get under ObamaCare.
