I’m a white middle aged guy. From as early as I can remember I was taught always treat a policeman with respect and do what he says becuase you don’t want a confrontation.
If I was forcing my door and the PD showed up I would provide ID and thank them for being on top of things.

I am normally polite to cops because my daddy taught me to never get in an argument with a man carrying a loaded machine gun (his advice to me upon entering the service)
