Just back from weekend at Bernies in DC.
The Obama machine is beginning to leak.
Obama's political henchmen now privately admit that an unpassed Obamacare bill will never survive past the August congressional recess. They know every member, particularly Dems from the House side and swishy R on the Senate side, will be bombarded with negative comments about Obamacare from most people back in their Districts.
They admit that the next two weeks are critical to getting it passed, and are very worried about another phone blitz such as killed some other nefarious legislation in the past.
Spread the word. Call every Congresscritter and Senator. Be respectful but make it clear that there will be no peace in the land (politically) if this monstrosity passes.
Call them now, call them all, call all the district offices and DC offices. The numbers are listed on their web pages. E-mail is nowhere as effective as a phone call. Call them again and again.
As one female member said this afternoon, "After being in favor of the national healthcare plan at first, I’ve come to my senses and decided I don't want Dr. Acorn to be my gynecologist! " (And she is a Dem!)
If we kill this plan, we reveal Obama to be a very empty suit, and blank teleprompter.
Yup, mine too. They're on my cell phone contact list, and I call them whenever I'm mad at them, which is pretty much all the time. When I'm home and really really mad, I look up all their offices and talk to as many staffers as I can. Senator Casey's are the rudest ones I have to talk to.
I would like to believe that they are hearing lots of complaints, but I worry that it is being drowned out by the obamabots shouting for their obamacare. My daughter convinced me to go with when she went to Senator Kohls office to talk about health care and I thought I might get a chance to speak up about the dangers of socialized medicine but the place was SWARMING with obamabots. I mean it was packed and they were spilling out into hallway. Some claimed they were from other organizations some Id never heard of but they ALL were there saying they wanted obamacare. They were telling all sorts of stories about how bad the insurance companies had treated them and I never got a chance to say my part. Kohl wasnt there but his assistant handed out a statement saying he now supports the socialized public option thing. I was rather depressed by the time I left especially because my daughter is still angry with me because Ive stopped taking my medication and stopped using medicare to set a better example to her.
My truck was impounded because of their screw up and how I got faulted for it is just nuts! I sent in my renewal on time with follow up letters and called with no response back....
They said it was my responsibility for my drivers license if you didn't have it updated you shouldn't of been driving. cop took my truck and i had to walk home and paid for all expense to get my truck back.
Yes, my daughter has been sucked into obmabot health care mission and she says they are really ramping up. It scares me. There are a lot of them and they seem very motivated and organized. I just dont understand how socialism became so acceptable to the younger generation. I suppose it somewhat understandable that my daughter has been taken in because she has health problems and hasnt been able to find a job with insurance and she cant get an individual policy because of pre-existing conditions. She is convinced obamacare will fix all that. Ive tried to warn her about socialism but after those two years she spent in England and using their hospitals after she got sick she is now convinced we should have government health care too. I just couldnt get her see the bigger picture and the importance of sticking by principles even when I stopped using medicare. That just made her angry with me.
I’m sure all of us who have paid into SS for decades and decades (4+ here) are thrilled to learn that not only will SS be kaputt in our lifetimes in spite of all that money, but also we will have to get on our knees before a government clerk/counselor to beg for our lives to last another 5 years.
Sometimes I come out of the terror that assaults us every blasted day for months and really get set to do battle. Fortunately, when I opened the door a little while ago, the night sky was dark blue, had some clouds and a big, bright star, so I calmed down a bit. I won’t have to decide the moment for a while yet.
Found out just a few months back that as a kid I lived near some folks that had escaped from Nazi Germany. I used to watch the “World At War” series like all get out. The part about finding the camps grossed me out and haunted me for weeks. It never occurred to me that my own countryment would kill people like that, en masse; then you read the language in this 0bamacare bill, and you know exactly what they’re wanting to do is kill the old, the infirm, the disabled the dependent, the undesirables or political opposition—especially since you can kills babies any old time. If’n they don’t die outright at birth, you can just toss them in the trash or leave them on cold steel gasping for breath.
Germany’s six million would be chump change to these freaks. These are my countrymen—or so I had thought. That verb ‘to be’ matters in all its forms. Human ain’t one of the forms though, and I am right up next to thinkin’ that while they might belong to someone, they ain’t mine, neither.
0bama and the dem-fascists are gonna want us to work until we all keel over. While they eat wagyu and drink water with glacial ice from Antarctica. Who knows. Maybe they’ll clone themselves so’s they’ll always be in office.

I was reading through the comments on this thread and noticed one of them saying something that seemed a bit implausible. So I click on the name and review all the messages posted by the account. I would bet a $1000 I just found a troll. It’s the first one I ever found who wasn’t a blatantly obvious zot. I sent a message to the admin who knows what they’ll do.

I will not take that bet. I reported the poster to the mods. If you had not said anything I wouldn’t have noticed, just thought it was a nut, but after reading their posts, there is a method to their madness. Very interesting to say the least.

The host family that my daughter stayed with is now in the their 70s and one of them is being treated for cancer. I only know because they were going to come visit but decided to stay in England while she is treated. I havent talked to them much about health care but she didnt seem at all worried about her care. Is there something I should be warning her about? My daughter insists the british have longer lifespans but I dont know how that could be true if they are letting the older people die.
I'm soon to be unemployed so I've decided to go back to school - taking out the maximum amount of federal loans along the way and living off them. Do that repeatedly until I die, thereby receiving my social security that way. And if I die before paying it off, so what? Sue me.

I wouldnt do the student loan thing the loan companies are vultures. My son is working on his phd and has taken loans and they company recently tried to put him into collections even though he is not done and should not have to pay yet. I hear that is because they make more money when a loan defaults and is paid off by the government than when the borrower pays it off. Our liberal government at work.
Put all the socialists together and the life expectancy doesn't look so good.
And they like to cook the books, among other thinks.

Oh I definitely see your point though I dont think the british are quite so bad as the nazis. I was just worried because I know the care is not as good in socialist countries but I hadnt heard anything about old people being purposefully killed and was wondering if I should warn our host friend. Is the british system really that bad?
