He was on air before the game (in the lockerroom and taped touting volunteering), first pitch, and in the broadcasting booth (so I read). He is everywhere ;(

So he couldn’t even manage to throw the ball over the plate?

President Bush is more of a Baseball person. He managed the Rangers and he’s male.

Pray for America

A 57-foot pitcher in a 60-foot world.

[Those were the questions that viewers of baseball’s All-Star Game were asking themselves at home after Fox elected to show President Barack Obama’s ceremonial first pitch at the 80th All-Star Game from a tight angle]

And I wonder who insisted on that angle!

It was about a 57 foot lollipop toss.... more-or-less aimed okay, but otherwise fairly wimpy.

Obama's southpaw delivery landed a little short of the plate

Sort of like his left leaning policies that leave much to be desired?

Though Obama was roundly cheered by the All-Star fans, his live presence still didn't attract the applause that George W. Bush did during a taped announcement by the four previous Presidents before the game and some boos could even be heard among the cheers.

America is waking up!! Now I can go to bed happy!

I dunno, sounded like a lot more boos than cheers to me.

They probably piped in recorded cheers over the PA system, too...

Bush threw high heat when he threw out in the Nats’ stadium opener. Obama? He can’t even get the ball to home plate.
