Obama, the African Colonial

Had Americans been able to stop obsessing over the color of Barack Obama's skin and instead paid more attention to his cultural identity, maybe he would not be in the White House today. The key to understanding him lies with his identification with his father, and his adoption of a cultural and political mindset rooted in postcolonial Africa.

Like many educated intellectuals in postcolonial Africa, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was enraged at the transformation of his native land by its colonial conqueror. But instead of embracing the traditional values of his own tribal cultural past, he embraced an imported Western ideology, Marxism. I call such frustrated and angry modern Africans who embrace various foreign "isms", instead of looking homeward for repair of societies that are broken, African Colonials. They are Africans who serve foreign ideas.

The tropes of America's racial history as a way of understanding all things black are useless in understanding the man who got his dreams from his father, a Kenyan exemplar of the African Colonial.

Before I continue, I need to say this: I am a first generation born West African-American woman whose parents emigrated to the U.S. in the 1970's from the country now called Nigeria. I travel to Nigeria frequently. I see myself as both a proud American and as a proud Igbo (the tribe that we come from -- also sometimes spelled Ibo). Politically, I have always been conservative (though it took this past election for me to commit to this once and for all!); my conservative values come from my Igbo heritage and my place of birth. Of course, none of this qualifies me to say what I am about to -- but at the same time it does.

My friends, despite what CNN and the rest are telling you, Barack Obama is nothing more than an old school African Colonial who is on his way to turning this country into one of the developing nations that you learn about on the National Geographic Channel. Many conservative (East, West, South, North) African-Americans like myself -- those of us who know our history -- have seen this movie before. Here are two main reasons why many Americans allowed Obama to slip through the cracks despite all of his glaring inconsistencies:

First, Obama has been living on American soil for most of his adult life. Therefore, he has been able to masquerade as one who understands and believes in American democratic ideals. But he does not. Barack Obama is intrinsically undemocratic and as his presidency plays out, this will become more obvious. Second, and most importantly, too many Americans know very little about Africa. The one-size-fits-all understanding that many Americans (both black and white) continue to have of Africa might end up bringing dire consequences for this country.

Contrary to the way it continues to be portrayed in mainstream Western culture, Africa is not a continent that can be solely defined by AIDS, ethnic rivalries, poverty and safaris. Africa, like any other continent, has an immense history defined by much diversity and complexity. Africa's long-standing relationship with Europe speaks especially to some of these complexities -- particularly the relationship that has existed between the two continents over the past two centuries. Europe's complete colonization of Africa during the nineteenth century, also known as the Scramble for Africa, produced many unfortunate consequences, the African colonial being one of them.

The African colonial (AC) is a person who by means of their birth or lineage has a direct connection with Africa. However, unlike Africans like me, their worldviews have been largely shaped not by the indigenous beliefs of a specific African tribe but by the ideals of the European imperialism that overwhelmed and dominated Africa during the colonial period. AC's have no real regard for their specific African traditions or histories.  AC's use aspects of their African culture as one would use pieces of costume jewelry: things of little or no value that can be thoughtlessly discarded when they become a negative distraction, or used on a whim to decorate oneself in order to seem exotic. (Hint: Obama's Muslim heritage).

On the other hand, AC's strive to be the best at the culture that they inherited from Europe. Throughout the West, they are tops in their professions as lawyers, doctors, engineers, Ivy League professors and business moguls; this is all well and good. It's when they decide to engage us as politicians that things become messy and convoluted.

The African colonial politician (ACP) feigns repulsion towards the hegemonic paradigms of Western civilization. But at the same time, he is completely enamored of the trappings of its aristocracy or elite culture. The ACP blames and caricatures whitey to no end for all that has gone wrong in the world. He convinces the masses that various forms of African socialism are the best way for redressing the problems that European colonialism motivated in Africa. However, as opposed to really being a hard-core African Leftist who actually believes in something, the ACP uses socialist themes as a way to disguise his true ambitions: a complete power grab whereby the "will of the people" becomes completely irrelevant.

Barack Obama is all of the above. The only difference is that he is here playing (colonial) African politics as usual.  

In his 1995 memoir, Dreams From My Father -- an eloquent piece of political propaganda -- Obama styles himself as a misunderstood intellectual who is deeply affected by the sufferings of black people, especially in America and Africa. In the book, Obama clearly sees himself as an African, not as a black American. And to prove this, he goes on a quest to understand his Kenyan roots. He is extremely thoughtful of his deceased father's legacy; this provides the main clue for understanding Barack Obama.

Barack Obama Sr. was an African colonial to the core; in his case, the apple did not fall far from the tree. All of the telltale signs of Obama's African colonialist attitudes are on full display in the book -- from his feigned antipathy towards Europeans to his view of African tribal associations as distracting elements that get in the way of "progress".  (On p. 308 of Dreams From My Father, Obama says that African tribes should be viewed as an "ancient loyalties".)

Like imperialists of Old World Europe, the ACP sees their constituents not as free thinking individuals who best know how to go about achieving and creating their own means for success. Instead, the ACP sees his constituents as a flock of ignorant sheep that need to be led -- oftentimes to their own slaughter.

Like the European imperialist who spawned him, the ACP is a destroyer of all forms of democracy.

Here are a few examples of what the British did in order to create (in 1914) what is now called Nigeria and what Obama is doing to you: 

1. Convince the people that "clinging" to any aspect of their cultural (tribal) identity or history is bad and regresses the process of "unity". British Imperialists deeply feared people who were loyal to anything other than the state. "Tribalism" made the imperialists have to work harder to get people to just fall in line. Imperialists pitted tribes against each other in order to create chaos that they then blamed on ethnic rivalry. Today many "educated" Nigerians, having believed that their traditions were irrelevant, remain completely ignorant of their ancestry and the history of their own tribes.
2. Confiscate the wealth and resources of the area that you govern by any means necessary in order to redistribute wealth. The British used this tactic to present themselves as empathetic and benevolent leaders who wanted everyone to have a "fair shake". Imperialists are not interested in equality for all. They are interested in controlling all.  
3. Convince the masses that your upper-crust university education naturally puts you on an intellectual plane from which to understand everything even when you understand nothing. Imperialists were able to convince the people that their elite university educations allowed them to understand what Africa needed. Many of today's Nigerians-having followed that lead-hold all sorts of degrees and certificates-but what good are they if you can't find a job?   
4. Lie to the people and tell them that progress is being made even though things are clearly becoming worse.  One thing that the British forgot to mention to their Nigerian constituents was that one day, the resources that were being used to engineer "progress" (which the British had confiscated from the Africans to begin with!) would eventually run out. After WWII, Western Europe could no longer afford to hold on to their African colonies. So all of the counterfeit countries that the Europeans created were then left high-and-dry to fend for themselves. This was the main reason behind the African independence movements of the1950 and 60's. What will a post-Obama America look like?
5. Use every available media outlet to perpetuate the belief that you and your followers are the enlightened ones-and that those who refuse to support you are just barbaric, uncivilized, ignorant curmudgeons.  This speaks for itself.

America, don't be fooled. The Igbos were once made up of a confederacy of clans that ascribed to various forms of democratic government. They took their eyes off the ball and before they knew it, the British were upon them. Also, understand this: the African colonial who is given too much political power can only become one thing: a despot.

JUST WHEN WAS OBAMA BORN

"...Mary was interviewed before the release of Obama's purported birth certificate. It was important to have witnesses confirm an early August birth. Susan Blake claimed that Obama was "pink and very new" in late August 1961, just "three-weeks old." Mary Toutonghi remembers a seven-month-old whom she babysat in the beginning of 1962. The question is -- was she mistaken about the date of first encounter?

To jog her memory, Mary recounted the age of her own daughter: "[She] was 18 months old and was born in July of 1959 [this has been verified] and that would have placed the months of babysitting Barack in January and February of 1962." Those dates, however, don't add up. A child born in July 1959 would be 18 months old in January/February of 1961, several months before Ann reportedly moved to Seattle.

Perhaps to rectify this problem, Mary tried another way to remember the time she babysat. In a 2009 WND interview, Mary stated, "My daughter was 18 months old and she just had her 50th birthday this year ... so that would make the time around February and March 1962." Again, the math doesn't work. The year 2009 minus 50 gives us the correct birth year for Mary's child, but adding 18 months again brings us to January/February of 1961.

If Obama were seven months old in early 1962, this would more or less validate an August 1961 birth. It appears that Mary might have thought that Ann and child moved into the Villa Ria apartments in early 1962 as well. She relates that "Ann Dunham and the baby moved in while we were there ... I can't remember when she moved in, but the baby was seven months old."

Did Mary say she babysat when her own daughter, who was born in July 1959, was 18 months old?

Did Mary say how old the child was that she babysat, did Mary name the mother, did she name the child?

She didn’t. Charlette Le Fevre did that.

Did Mary name the woman she babysat for, ANNA?

Was it Charlete who turned her into Stanley Ann Dunham, and convinced Mary she had babysat the little potus?

Did Mary agree with Charlette out of vanity(she went to school with the children of Bob Hope, in Hollywood, remember?)

Was Mary stuck with the identification of ANNA as Stanley Ann Dunham, when Charlette then wrote she had confirmed with the University of Washington, that ‘Stanley Ann Dunham’ had attended classes there.
When in fact, the registration would have been for the student ANNA OBAMA. The same student who was listed in the Seattle directories as ANNA OBAMA. The same student Mary named ANNA.

After that, Mary couldn’t deny anything, whereas what she should have said to Charlette is, ‘ I have no idea what you are talking about.’

And once she was caught in the spin by Charlette Le Fevre, who conducted walking tours past the homes of the rich and infamous in Seattle...she was stuck with it.

However, when it came to light that if you add 18 months to June 1959, you get January 1961, the wheels started to spin. Charlette edited her own article. ( A reprint from another website shows the original without the edit.)

THEN Mary tried to say that the babysitting took place in early 1962. To which Corsi commented that the child must have been 7 months of age.

And American Thinker wrote, (assuming the babysitting took place in early August) if the child was 7 months of age, he must have been born in January 1961.

Round and round it goes. In the original article, Mary never mentioned the age of the child. She said he was ‘a good size’ - and I think that’s a comment that would relate to a young baby, not a child of seven months.

Seems obvious that anything said by Mary on the subject after the initial telephone interview by Charlette was going to need to be an attempt to cover up the unrehearsed truth.

Mary babysat for ANNA OBAMA when Mary’s daughter, who was born in July 1959, was 18 months of age.

And that had absolutely nothing to do with Stanley Ann Dunham or the identity of the boy Stanley Ann showed up with at Susan Blake’s house with a three weeks old baby that quite obviously wasn’t hers.

There were TWO women and TWO children. Two sets of parents. And Stanley Ann Dunham was nothing but a courier, who took the child she showed Susan to BOSTON that very same day.

And somehow those two little boys ended up sitting next to each other, one quite obviously at least six months older than the other.

Timeframes for events must be governed to a certain extent by the Honolulu Polk and Seattle Directory listings, both of which were for the 1961-1962 period.

Charlette went on to write:

“During our first interview, Mary referred to Stanley Ann Dunham as ³Anna² not knowing that it was the same name as what was listed in the Seattle City Directory. This verified for us that indeed Mary had known Ann Dunham...”

The only age discrepancy there was, was due to Charlette adding 18 months to June 1959, and making that January and February 1962. INSTEAD OF 1961!

Mary Toutonghi, according to an interview published in the Seattle Chat Club blog, claimed to have baby-sat for the future president at Dunham’s Seattle apartment in January and February 1962. The Toutonghi interview provides no information about Dunham arriving in Seattle to begin classes in the autumn of 1961.

When asked why Dunham left her husband in Hawaii to come to Seattle with her infant son, Toutonghi explained Dunham told her that she and the baby would be going to Kenya when she finished her education, as she had promised her parents when she was married.

Toutonghi also added Dunham’s explanation that her husband had an obligation to his tribe to take another wife that was a full-blooded Kenyan. Toutonghi further commented, “I don’t think I could have been that brave.”

In an interview with WND, Toutonghi said she baby-sat for infant Obama “for two or three months, when he was seven months old,” adding “it was in the spring.”

Given Obama’s birth Aug. 4, 1961, this would put the dates Toutonghi baby-sat infant Obama in February and March 1962.

“My daughter was 18 months old and she just had her 50th birthday this year,” Toutonghi recalled. “So, that would make the time around February and March 1962.#8221;

“Ann Dunham and the baby moved in while we were there,” she remembered. “We managed the house and they had the rooms on the first floor to the right, immediately above the garage. Each of the rooms on that floor comprised a one-bedroom apartment. I can’t remember when she moved in, but the baby was seven months old.”

“It was kind of weird, but she never told me why she abandoned her husband,” she commented. “I don’t know if the courses she wanted were here. I couldn’t figure out why she was here in Seattle while her husband was in Hawaii.”

Barack Jr. apparently was only a few days old for the travel from Hawaii to Seattle.

In deciding to take her child and move to Seattle, Ann Dunham abandoned her husband, Barack Obama, who stayed behind in Hawaii, evidently to continue his studies at the University of Hawaii.

This now-documented account of President Obama’s birth timeline differs dramatically from the narrative the president told in his autobiography “Dreams from My Father.”

In that book, Obama claimed his mother remained with him in Hawaii until 1962 when supposedly Barack Obama Sr. made the decision to abandon Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii because Harvard did not provide sufficient funds for him to take his family with him to Cambridge, Mass., to begin his studies in September 1962.

Ann Dunham’s transcript from the University of Washington shows she continued to take classes there through the spring term 1962, which suggests she not only abandoned Barack Obama Sr. in Hawaii, but also that she remained in Seattle to continue her studies there well into 1962.

Stuart Lau, registrar at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, confirmed to WND that Dunham attended the fall term 1960 and did not resume studies at that university until the spring term 1963.

Lau also confirmed to WND that Barack Obama Sr. attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from the fall term 1959 through the spring term 1962.

This confirms the conclusion that Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. never lived together as man and wife after the birth of Barack Obama Jr..

WND can find no listing in the Polk directories to document Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. ever living at the same address.

As WND previously reported, according to an affidavit from private investigator Jorge Baro, the neighbor who has lived at 6075 Kalanianaole Highway since before Obama was born had no recollection of the family next door having a black child born to a white mother.

Very likely, the neighbor, Beatrice Arakaki, did not recall the Obama family because the primary residents were the grandparents, the Dunhams.

At most, Ann Dunham Obama and her son lived at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway only a few days, and there is no evidence Barack Obama Sr. ever lived there, despite the address having been listed in the Honolulu newspapers as the residence of the parents.

After Dunham left for Seattle, Barack Obama Sr. likely would have lived at his 11th Avenue address.

Polk listing for Stanley and Madelyn Dunham

A search of the Polk’s Directory of Honolulu for 1961-1962 indicates 6085 Kalanianaole Highway was being rented by the grandparents. Madelyn L. Dunham is listed as a loan interviewer and escrow agent at the Bank of Hawaii, and Stanley A. Dunham is listed as a manager with Pratt Furniture.

In a separate listing, Ann S. Obama, Obama’s mother, is identified as a student living at the 6085 Kalanianaole Highway address; Barack H. Obama, her husband, is listed as a student living at 625 11th Avenue.

As WND previously reported, a Honolulu title search documented 6085 Kalanianaole Highway was purchased in 1958 by Orland Scott Lefforge, a University of Hawaii professor, and his wife/companion Thelma Young, who remained owners into the 1970s.

The Polk Directory shows Lefforge and Young living at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway in 1963, not when they purchased the home in 1958.

So IIRC Polk needed the information by Oct-Nov of the year prior to publish the following years data. That would mean Ann Obama (Anna Obama) would have had to move to Seattle in Oct-Nov of 1960

I agree with that. But this is where the blending is going on. How does Anna get into the Polk in HI and WA for '61?

He must have confused two birth dates with each other, the one on the January birth certificate belonging to the son of Anna and the Kenyan, and the other that is the fake dated August 4. It happens. It happened to Stanley Ann, when she forgot the date of her marriage to Lolo.

It was ANNA who approached the Salvation Army regarding an adoption in April. Not Stanley Ann, who wasn't pregnant and who wasn't in Seattle. That's why Janny Scott truncated the INS memo so that we couldn't read the name, and would assume the person was Stanley Ann Dunham.

The Salvation Army, it appears, although we haven't been able to confirm, had an address at the corner of 13th Avenue and Republican, in a house since demolished.

How does Anna get into the Polk in HI and WA for '61?

Good question. I am looking at a Polk directory for 1902. It says copyright 1902. The title says for 1902-1903. And then later, after they describe the data collected, the date shown is June 5, 1902.

So, the data was obviously collected well before then, because it would also take time to prepare the book for printing. And, how long do they spend collecting the data? My guess would be at least six months.

One assumes (and that's all we could do) that it was Anna who was enrolled at the university from FALL 1960, was then residing at the rented property of Dunham/Pratt (which had five bedrooms and two bathrooms according to Zillo) dropped out after a short period, (the letter from the university doesn't state how long she was there) and then shows up at the rooming house at 13th Avenue Seattle.

If the information for the directories was collated from various sources, such as leases, telephone directories, utility connections - which could take a month or at least several weeks, she could appear to have been in two places at once.

Only the actual enrollment documents from the university would show who that student was. It suited the purpose to assume the student enrolled as Ann S Obama as shown in the Polk, was Stanley Ann Dunham.

The transcript from the University of Washington is simply an amalgamation of data, just as is the fake birth certificate. There was no reference of Stanley Ann In Seattle EVER until Charlette Le Fevre found the listing for ANNA OBAMA.

The name on the dubious University of Washington transcript is OBAMA STANLEY ANN DUNHAM. She didn't use that name until she changed it on Social Security in JANUARY 1963.

Angelo Codevilla apparently supplied that image, he claimed it was a photograph that appeared in the Hawaii newspapers. No one has been able to find it. Angelo was at one time attached to the Navy, as was Nachmanoff at whose home photographs of the Kenyan and other students were taken. Opinions are that the image had been tampered with. How or why? Of interest is the young woman standing beside the Kenyan, and the presence of Stanley Armour and Neil Abercrombie, distinguishable by his odd looking glasses...making the peace sign in the background.

Who is she? Is she the woman we know now as Anna Obama, also photographed in a group of foreign students with the Kenyan? Is she the girl sitting next to the Kenyan at the Nachmanoff gathering?

That's an assumption which is the result of Ayres BLENDING two characters in the narrative. ONLY the enrollment data from the university would reveal who ANN S OBAMA really was. The reason no one can find Stanley Ann Dunham in Hawaii until 1963, just might be because SHE WASN'T THERE, until she changed her name and showed up with a toddler in January, when she enrolled at the University for SPRING 1963.
