President Obama: Neo-Marxist
IBD ^ | 5/22/09 | Larry Elder

Posted on 05/22/2009 11:03:47 PM PDT by pissant

The topic: "The Future of Capitalism." To discuss this, Time magazine assembled a "stellar cast."

One such "honoree" works as a Public Broadcasting Service/National Public Radio host. The tax dollars produced by the capitalism he criticizes help pay his salary. (The irony was apparently lost.)

At least other "business roundtable" panelists — commentator/publisher/author Arianna Huffington and singer John Legend — make their money the old-fashioned way, by enticing consumers to buy what they sell.

"I don't think that left to its own devices," the taxpayer-supported broadcaster/pundit said, "capitalism moves along smoothly and everyone gets treated fairly in the process. Capitalism is like a child: If you want the child to grow up free and productive, somebody's got to look over the shoulder of that child." Good grief.

Every dollar spent by government is one less dollar spent by taxpayers. Money comes from somewhere — taxes, borrowing (taxes on layaway) or printing, which, if not offset by productivity, causes inflation, a stealth tax on everyone.

Who can spend, save or invest more efficiently and humanely, you or some tenured bureaucrat in D.C. who's never run so much as a hot dog stand or lent himself out as a United Way volunteer?

Private enterprise is the most proficient job- and wealth-creating "system" ever designed. But many, if not most, Americans think only government can and should build and run "infrastructure" and that government "investment" creates jobs of which the private sector is incapable of creating. Really?

Yep. And like all supposedly idealistic commies, his "dictatorship of the proletariat", supposedly the first temporary stage of the revolution, later to give way to power to the masses, will be permanent.

These "compassionate" Marxists always turn out to be totalitarians.

"I don't think that left to its own devices," the taxpayer-supported broadcaster/pundit said, "capitalism moves along smoothly and everyone gets treated fairly in the process."

If, of course, fair means everyone gets closer and closer to an equal share of the rewards regardless of the skill and effort expended.

In every country successfully taken by fascist dictators, that nation had a cultural history of class subservience.

America has no such history and the Founders gave us the 2nd Amendment to make it forever so.

I see a major revolt in 2010 and America's final salvation in 2012.

Too evil too soon will be the ideologically driven yet historically obtuse legacy of the first black and last Marxist president of the United States.

This common street hustler may have scuttled the chances of another black person ever being elected again to the highest office in the world.

The infatuation with Zer0 is heading down. It’s becoming clear that Zer0 is proposing nothing but disaster for our country.

It's like Fonzi jumping the shark in the very first episode of Happy Days.

But the time it takes for people too proud to finally admit that they actually voted for a dangerous socialist demagogue because he was so “cool” may be too long to save America.

Well, that was the Leninist model. He seems like more of a Situationist to me.

An Obama Democrat in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He lowered his
altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. He shouted
to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would
meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air
balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346
feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14..97 minutes north
latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude..

He rolled his eyes and said, “You must be a Republican.”
“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”
“Well,” answered the Obama Democrat, “everything you told me is
technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with
your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much
help to me.”

The man smiled and responded, “You must be an Obama Democrat.”
“I am,” replied the Obama Democrat. “How did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “you don’t know where you are or where you
are going. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of
hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and
you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same
position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it’s my fault.”

I had never heard of the Situationists. I just read about them online. Thanks for the perspective

Neo-Marxist? Nah....he’s a Super-Marxist.

He’s dangerous, arrogant, and ineligible to hold the office. He’s spending the wealth of generations yet unborn, and whistling down the road the whole time. He’s destroying the security and safety of the country with his transnational quest for personal power.

It’s time to take back the country.
