I don't trust any of the organizations Schiller has been involved with: CNN, Discovery, NYT, NPR.

Looks like a list of failing businesses.

""NPR Member Stations shall provide ONLY [emphasis added] nonsectarian, non-political"

Does this mean they are shutting down The McLaughlin Group? I'm fine with that one.. Eleanor (ARRRRGGGGGHHH!) Can't stand that woman (thing)!

In 1985, National Public Radio (NPR) adopted a policy stating that member stations had to provide "nonsectarian, non-political, noncommercial" educational programming. But in February 2009, the wording was changed to say: "NPR Member Stations shall provide ONLY [emphasis added] nonsectarian, non-political, noncommercial educational content on all broadcast channel(s) and related media distribution platforms such as member partners that use the NPR member brands." The rule, which takes effect May 1, means that any NPR stations carrying religious programming must cease and desist that programming as of that date.
By a weird coincidence, I support a 100 per cent decrease in the amount of government financial support for NPR, PBS, and so-called "arts" organizations.

I admit, I listen to NPR, but only one hour on Saturdays to hear "Car Talk"

I will occasionaly tune in some news to show my children what bias in the media is all about

Does anyone over the age of 14 actually listen to NPR?

Unfortunately I see these people in the local Trader Joe’s and I always hope that I am not one of them. Shopping there is a bad sign.

Careful, you're almost like the guy at the adult theater thinking, "man there are a lot of disgusting perverts in here".

All the progressives in our land are clueless as to the end result of silencing and minimizing the Christian culture, ushering in sharia law.

Ha! Funny.

Fortunately I do not drive a Volvo, so I'm somewhat innoculated.

Go to any Trader Joe's and you'll see lots of Obama bumper stickers.

NPR carried religious programming? I never heard any when I tuned them in.

Just their affiliates — stations which were otherwise unaffiliated, locally owned, and had gone to a talk format I suspect.

So, I assume that a lot of stations will be dropping NPR...

I don't listen to NPR that much, but when there is a program with some religious content, it always seems to be liberal anyway. Maybe there are some local stations with decent religious programming but I haven't heard of any.

Isn't public radio supposed to be diverse and inclusive?

But Trader Joes is filled with excellent products at very reasonable prices so I do not give a fig about the fellow shoppers.
I know all the workers in my local TJs and one young girl who works there told me a funny story.
On the run up to the election, election day and about a month after the white moonbats with the Obama pins would give her a big smile and a thumbs up. She could not figure out what was going on until she made the connection between the moonbats love of Obama and her own skin color. They just naturally figured she was voting for Obama because she was black. This gal is a conservative Christian and really loved telling these people ‘ well, I'm not voting for him / Don't look at me - I didn't vote for him’.
Here in Boston I STILL see Obama / Biden signs hanging from storefronts in some sections of the town.

I guess to be realistic I don’t either, my earlier comment was somewhat tongue and cheek.

In fact I just returned from TJ (having been inspired by this thread) with their excellent carnitas, guacamole, honey nuts, mushroom brie, pesto, and some other tasty stuff that you just can’t find anywhere else very easily.

And there’s no doubt that our local TJ employees have an excellent attitude toward customers and customer service.
