I had the pleasure of meeting the Colonel for a few moments. I was at Camp McCall finishing up phase training. We had come in from a week messing around, it was raining, around 9 and cooks were serving us a warm meal out of thermos boxes. I was last in line and two shadows came up behind me to join the line. I turned to talk to them and it was Colonel Rowe , who was in command of the camp and school and another officer. I told him it was just enlisted and he should move up if wanted to eat. He said no, he wanted to be last and make sure there was a hot meal for everyone.
