Gibbs Takes Off Gloves to Challenge Reporters, Hosts Who Cross Obama White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has singled out media personalities Jim Cramer, Rush Limbaugh and Rick Santelli in the course of less than two weeks.

Jim Cramer. Rush Limbaugh. Rick Santelli.

What do they all have in common? Most likely, none of them is getting invited to the White House Christmas party.

All three media personalities have been singled out by President Obama's press shop in the course of less than two weeks. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, in doing so, has shown an unusual willingness to spar with cable and radio hosts who take shots at his boss.

The rebuttals have ranged from playful ribbing to disdainful scolding.

Talk show host Limbaugh has drawn the most ire from the White House. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel called him out on Sunday for saying he wants Obama to fail, after Obama told Republican lawmakers not to listen to people like Limbaugh several weeks ago.

Gibbs followed up Monday, calling on conservative pundits to challenge Limbaugh on air.

I’m so confused... are Republicans supposed to listen to conservative talk show hosts or liberal Democrat toadies? Tough call... (/sarc)

There are millions of people in this country who put more contemplation into their morning trip to the crapper than the amount of thought that either NObama or Gibbs put into their utterances.

Both results are the same.

So if 50 million of us are pissed off at “The One” and say things about him, is Gibbs going to publicly call us out?’

That would fall under typical Democrap job security....

At this point, it’s only one radio commentator. But others are being singled out too - Santelli, Cramer. And there will be more.

There is no difference.

My essential point remains this: It’s about high time that the GOP (whether it be the Oval Office, members of Congress or a county commissioner in western Kansas) start to take some of these members of the media to task.

There is something about Gibbs that doesn't seem quite right. I mean really off. Obama is a true conman and bs artist, but Gibbs is creepy, very creepy, scary creepy.

You are correct. Dead on right!

Gibbs is all diversion, the creep-factor is all a part of the gig, which is like jangling car keys and other shinny objects in front of a basically brain-dead press corp. These guys know the press personalities in the White House Press closet are all ego, just as you know "the danger has passed when the press starts turning their cameras on one another."

Those morons actually think they matter, or they are afraid they don't matter, or they think that they should matter. They can't divorce themselves from "the story."

In this situation, there is no story. It's all make-believe dreamed up by Carvell and his plumbers to insure the press is not paying attention to stories that DO matter, like the economy and the diplomacy game, just shy of war, all over the globe.

They would rather we were talking about Gibbs, and being creeped out, than looking at our bank balance.

Compared to Tony Snow Robert Gibbs is a ignorant fat assed idiot. Geez I miss the class Tony brought to the position.

He’ll never be circumsised - there’s no end to the prick...
