WELLINGTON - One man is dead and a couple is left shaken after a home-invasion robbery turned deadly early Monday. The intruder wound up dead after he was shot by Heath Miller, 34, a popular music teacher at Howell L. Watkins MIddle School. The dead man is identified as Robert Rishard Tomlin, 22. According to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokesman Pete Palenzuela, Tomlin entered the home Miller was renting through a back sliding-glass door at about at approximately 1:50 a.m. Miller told authorities he saw the silhouette of an individual with a handgun coming through the bedroom door and fired. Miller and his wife Mirelle were quite shaken and were staying with his parents, said his mother Harma Miller, a former Belle Glade mayor who served for 14 years as a city commissioner. The Miller family also runs a funeral home in Belle Glade, Miller Mortuary. "He's all right for a few minutes and then he's not all right," Harma Miller said. "They are pretty wasted. Actually, they are going to need some therapy." Miller and his wife were two weeks away from moving from the home, she said, noting that his band kids offered to move them Monday. "We just want them to heal right now, so they will be over at my house," Harma Miller said. "It's really scary and when we are thinking about it, it gets scarier. I could be picking up my children and taking them to my own funeral home. We've been blessed." Several youths in the neighborhood said they saw Tomlin, whom they knew as "Shard," Sunday night when he visited friends at their apartment complex. He has been arrested multiple times, according to records, for everything from assaulting police officers to domestic violence.

“Oh, good, that way they can cut out the middle man as they drum up business.”
Yeah that business is just breaking in its in so much demand.
good news story.
Decent American citizen shots criminal scumbag loser.
I love happy endings....
Well, let us not be COWARDS and have a frank discussion on race...
We can start with...
Palumbo told the Post that Miller as a “very good tenant,” and said the neighborhood is in decline....
QUESTION: “Why are so many black neighborhoods in decline?”
PREFERRED ANSWER: “George Bush and the policies of the last 8 years....”
Any other answer is RACIST.
“Parker's mother, LaKeisha Hobbs, recalls, Tomlin as being funny and someone who loves to dance.
“It's sad,” she said. “It's hard to believe it ... anybody else but him.”
Another obama supporter off the voter rolls....
.... "He's all right for a few minutes and then he's not all right," Harma Miller said. "They are pretty wasted. Actually, they are going to need some therapy."(cringe) Need 'therapy'?
(they seem to have the range time thingy down pretty well.)
In this day and age everyone needs therapy..or grief counseling....even if it's something as simple as their goldfish dying.
Deputies said there was "an exchange of gunfire.'' They found Tomlin dead in the kitchen with several gunshot wounds.
Pretty good shooting as it probably occurred in a dark or dim environment.
Is it just me today, or is this one of the most confusingly written articles in a long time.
Nope. His mama will vote for him.
His demise does little to remove him from the voting block.
re: remove him from the voting block
Actually I think it probably increases the chance he’ll vote. In some Democratic precincts the dead are a lot more likely to vote than the average registered voter.
Paging Eric Holder....are we ‘cowards’ supposed to let liberally uneducated, criminal minorities just break into homes without consequence? Maybe the high percentage of minorities in prison is because they have ‘achieved’ that status with the help of the enlightened progressive liberals dumbing them down. Your rotten Democrat party is to blame first you corrupted moronic Attorney General.
