The EIB Network ^ | 01-08-09 | Rush Limbaugh

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

We love to hear Rush Limbaugh,
Excellence in Broadcasting.
From sea to shining sea,
Millions and millions listen.
Conservative voice of freedom,
Heard throughout all America.
A message pure and truthful,
The downhearted are encouraged.
Integrity and honesty his motto.
We love you, Rush.
Listen to Rush Limbaugh.
G-d Bless you, Rush Limbaugh.

Republican candidates should use a set of promises that would be similar to the Contract with America. Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate and House would promise that, if Republicans regain control of both houses, they would pass about five bills, including cutting tax rates to the 1988 rates, cutting welfare spending, obeying the 10th Amendment, and building a brick wall on the Mexican border.

Yes, I’m very serious. Rush is no longer a conservative guru he is actually nothing more than an unusual entertainer ... and he knows it now since he cowers before the Obama threat to take his smarmy ass off the air with the fairness doctrine if he opposes the ascendancy. The Axelrod people can tolerate Rush smearing and maligning their messiah so long as he is not opposed in coming into power. The BC issues has remained off limits to Rush beacuse he fears the backlash from Axelrod’s well oiled machine. Rush is in the end a coward, and exploitative manipulator, a coward when the chips are at stake. He has too much to lose, too far to fall, to try and stop the ascendency, and he knows he will be tolerated as ‘an opposition voice’ so long as he does not hinder the ascendance of the messiah of Marxism. Rush has become a useful idiot.

'Concentration camp' remark threatens Pope's visit to Israel

From Times Online | January 8, 2009

The Pope today condemned the use of violence by both Israel and Hamas in his annual speech to diplomats accredited to the Holy See. "Once again I would repeat that military options are no solution and that violence, wherever it comes from and whatever form it takes, must be firmly condemned," he said in an even-handed address.

He rejected "hatred, acts of provocation and the use of arms" and deplored the renewed outbreak of violence in Gaza which was "provoking immense damage and suffering for the civilian population".

Echoing Pope Benedict's calls for an end to the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip, Cardinal Renato Martino, head of the Vatican Council for Justice and Peace, urged Israeli and Hamas to be "more willing" to hold peace talks. He accused both sides of only thinking of their own interests while civilians paid the price.

Cardinal Martino expressed concern over the humanitarian situation, saying "Let's look at the conditions in Gaza: these increasingly resemble a big concentration camp."

He added: "Defenceless populations are always the ones who pay."

republicans need to state clearly, simply and in few words that:

the democrats caused this problem with the economy

their idea to spend money (borrowed, taxed or printed) will not fix the problem

their ideas failed - they cannot be trusted to fix it

In the world of Obama, workers = union members. Obama doesn’t think that unrepresented employees work.

They are also in charge of most of the vote counting apparatus now. If you think Minnesota’s Senate race is as low as they will go, you are mistaken.

Republicans need to stop being afraid of being called names by Democrats.

They also need to realize that Democrats will NEVER reciprocate Republican “bipartisanship”
