You do realize that every state you mentioned has had a Republican Governor recently? Michigan and Illinois had Republican Governors until 2003, and Massachusetts and New York had Republican Governors until 2007. In my very blue state, we have a Republican Governor. Don’t be so quick to assume.

And quite frankly....I hope we find out who EVERYONE is that was involved here.

Hopefully, the Illinois GOP can get their head out of their rears to come in and put forth candidates to clean up Illinois...

I doubt it considering the Ill GOP is pretty dysfunctional right now..but if they can’t get it together after this..nothing can.

timing is everything....

Yes it is -- in part why I did not believe Fitz was going to do anything prior to Election Day in order not to be accused of tampering with an election. He had to move now before Blagojevich actually had appointed someone to 0bama's Senate seat. The thing is, if indeed there is anything on 0bama in all this, how ironic would it be, his first official act as President of the United States to be issuing a pardon for all of his cronies here, giving himself one as well!

Chris Wallace nailed Ron Howard over his diatribe, Bush the same as Nixon, pointing out that whatever grievance one may have with Bush, nothing he's done was in order to promote/protect himself or the party. Will Howard, big 0bama supporter as we all know, make the Nixon comparison should things fall all around 0bama?? I for one will not be holding my breath.

This guy is toast.

But it all makes me wonder about the corruption that got Obamanation the seat — wasn’t the governor of Illinois then — Ryan?

“A substantial salary for himself at a either a non-profit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions;”

“Placing his wife on paid corporate boards where he speculated she might garner as much as $150,000 a year;”

Sounds like what the old community organizer the Zer0 and Mrs Zer0 did in good old Chicago!

The Tribune filed for bankruptcy yesterday...this announcement today...Trib was being extorted to fire the editorial board (undoubtedly John Kass also - God bless Kass for his relentless courage persisting in exposing ongoing corruption) in order to get a deal for selling the Cubs...wonder how far they may have gone on that (Fitz “afraid he’d wake up one morning” and learn that Trib staff would be gone before he could tidy up the case).

[Obama Senate seat being sold to the highest bidder]

Let's go back a few years, when the Clintons were discovered to be offering overnights in the Lincoln Bedroom for $$, the plots at Arlington for sale. Recall how dumbfounded so many in the lamestream were, simply could not understand the big deal, why so many of us out here in the hinterlands were outraged at the idea that White House exclusives were being offered for campaign cash.

Like this Senate seat, it was the fact that these things do not belong to the holders of the office, THEY BELONG TO WE THE PEOPLE.

I wonder how much they’re getting for the NY Senate seat.

Nah, it's just a backscratching club. Sort of like a massage parlor.

It wouldn’t have mattered if only 1000 people went to the polls the day Obama was elected Seantor, he would have won by over 10,000 votes. The democrat party is a criminal enterprise, and now they’re graduating to treason.

I cannot help but wonder if the powers that be are setting up the most effective way to reject Obama if the SCOTUS ends up causing him to be ineligible ... 'oh well, he was a criminal anyway, it just took longer to uncover it with all the Chicago corruption.'

The real potential for Obama's goonsquad fomenting riots (and the unions will no doubt get their hands into the effort), there has to be a way to defuse the tensions by giving the voters a palusible out for making the mistake of electing this wicked poseur.

Fitz did this to protect the Trib editorial staff.

Naw, today is a brighter day than yesterday but not THAT bright. There is no law against dreaming, though.

Any word on whether there is an unexpurgated (unredacted) wiretap transcript available online somewhere? Something without “bleep” or “expletive deleted” substituted therein?
