I can assure you. Those people who did not vote don’t give a damn what you hold them accountable for. And don’t give me this nonsense of vote them out in the primaries. We’ve tried that and 9 out of 10 times the GOP pulls it out using their connections and the money given them by donors that wasn’t intended to beused against their own. Keep blaming the voters though. That has really worked well for you and the party the last few election cycles. I’ll in turn focu on blaming the real culprits until they are either gone or straighten up. Their choice.
Gary Richardson was a former Republican who ran as an Indy from Tulsa and pulled enough votes from Largent on top of the poorly run campaign by Tom Cole’s consultants that we got Henry by a slim margin.
I remember writing Richardson and telling him he had no class because he was a Republican and to run as an Indy because he couldn’t win was wrong.

Hey Timedrifter, Riverdale class of ‘88 -— know exactly what you mean. Family moved to Buckhead when I went away to college, so didn’t actually “see” the demographic change. Went back five years or so ago -— was horrified. Embarrassed actually. Took my wife to show her “home.” Can’t explain why she still married me.

It looks like nearly everything is in except Fulton county, which has about 30 precincts out. Since that is a heavily Dem county, I expect those votes to come in and trim Chambliss down to about a 10 pt win. He’s holding a 16 pt lead right now. I just want it to be double digits for the psychological factor.
Those are comfortable numbers. Nice to see Georgia red in December. Democrats blew their wad 4 weeks ago...now it is time for us to start winning back some seats in 2010 and getting some governorships back as well. Rudy should go for it in NY.
Fulton has not been running as Dem as I expected tonight. Wonder if the ACORN voters stayed home for this run-off?
Makes me think that GA should start verifying voter rolls after this election.

She energizes not just the base, but many, many others.
The dems, DNC, libs, RINOS and MSM fear her, as well they should. She showed tonight what her influence is capable of.
She IS the one to watch and everyone knows it. This is why the MSM has been hellbent on destroying her from day one. They could see it. They could feel it. They had to stop it. Lucky for them, the McCain campaign played right into their hands. But she is a force on her own, and if she really WANTS it, I believe she will be unstoppable.
The media will try to “take her out”, but it’s not going to work. She has time now to re-introduce and redefine herself on HER terms and choose her own team. I expect to see her quite a bit on the national stage in the next few years.
It will be the one bright spot in what I imagine to be a miserable two to four years.

During the day, energy from the sun splits the F layer into two distinct parts known as F1 and F2.
The F region is the very thickest region of the ionosphere, which makes the F region special. It is the only layer of the ionosphere that is subdivided into two parts, the F1 layer and the F2 layer. During the day the F region ionizes at different rates, due to the thickness.
The F2 layer is on top of the F1 layer (making it situated closer to the sun). As a result of being closer to the sun, it comes into contact with more of the UV and x ray energy. Because of this, the F2 layer becomes more ionized than the F1 layer. When night settles in, the F1 layer quickly loses its energy while the F2 layer loses its energy much more slowly--usually at the lowest point right before sun-up. It is the F2 layer of the ionosphere that provides the capacity of the ionosphere to reflect radio energy (this is why the F2 layer is more important to hams).

Is there any truth to the report I read (I don’t remember where), that the RNC authorized her to spend $25,000 for her wardrobe, but she had staffers buying stuff from NeimanMarcus and Sax on their personal credit cards for later reimbursement to the tune of over $100,000. The same report said she spent $40,000 on her husband. Reportedly the RNC was sending staff to Alaska to get the clothing back to sell or give to charity. How did that turn out?
All bogus. The Republican National Committee spent the money for the clothes to fill out her wardrobe. She had no say in the matter. After the campaign she returned to the RNC all the clothes that weren’t hers-end of story. And with the press following her all over the place how did she escape their notice and go on a shopping spree without being noticed by a prying reporter or reporterette. After all in between Sept and Nove 08 she was just the most famous woman in America at the time.

She said on Greta that the stuff was mostly already purchased (in different sizes because she wasn’t there to try-on anything) for her before she even arrived at the RNC convention. She said that most of it was returned right away, and the rest was boxed up and sent back—that it never belonged to her. She also said, at the time, that some of it was still in the cargo hold of the campaign bus.
This came from her own mouth—not gossip.
I think that stuff about the “$150,000 clothes” turned out to be a total crock but I haven’t seen anything definitive about it. From what Governor Palin said it was not her choice or doing, it was the RNC with the campaign, and she did not keep any clothes. She needs to make sure that story is put to bed, though, b/c it’s going to keep cropping up and her rivals in the party will try to use it against her.... not to mention the Mediascum and Demagogues.
