RUSSIAN ANALYST PREDICTS DECLINE AND BREAKUP OF USA
The Drudge Report ^ | 11-25-2008 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 11/25/2008 6:36:10 AM PST by Virginia Ridgerunner

A leading Russian political analyst has said the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the country is heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.

Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily IZVESTIA published on Monday: "The dollar is not secured by anything. The country's foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse."

(snip)

He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.

He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored several books on information warfare.

In the immortal words of Charlie Daniels -

"This lady may have stumbled,
but she ain't never fell,
and if the russians don't believe that,
they can all go straight to hell!

We're gonna put her feet back on the path of righteousness and then
GOD Bless America again!"

If the price of oil stays at or near the current level for the foreseeable future, the Russian government and economy will collapse. The military buildup there was predicated on a price of oil above $100 per bbl. With oil revenues cut in half, the recent pace of re-militarization cannot be sustained.

“I don't think we can recover.”

That is the American spirit. Thank GOD Washington did not feel that way... or our Founders... because they faced tyranny far worse than hussein the POS idiot. He can damage us but he cannot destroy us as long as millions of us worship GOD and his chosen SON. They can't kill all of us and I can assure you that rooskies cannot hold anything south of the Mason Dixon line.

"He is 100% correct. I know that people on this board think that the USA is some magical place than has a god given right to be the most powerful country in the world, but it doens’t. America is powerful because in the past we have made the right choices. In the past 40 years we have made so many poor choices with regard to too much spending and little savings that I don't think we can recover."

Well, there's that...

".........................Dissatisfaction is growing, and at the moment it is only being held back by the elections and the hope that Obama can work miracles. But by spring, it will be clear that there are no miracles."

There are many scenarios which may play out, but unfortunately I think there may be a lot of truth in what this guy is predicting..
We have pissed away some of the greatest opportunities this world has ever seen. At some point the chickens do come home to roost..

"...the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality"

THAT is what you call UNDERstatement!

"Distinct and separate" is certainly a nice way of putting it!

from prior post to this news:..the combination of OBUMA & Dem control of congress will be much too powerful..(I remember 40yrs of dem control)
I do not think civil war will happen, but it looks more and more like a break up of the Union will be the only solution for those of US who Remember America prior to the unchecked immigration wave, and the MSM -Hollywood - and re education centers called Universities did their damage.
My hope is we can save sereral states where morals, and
freedom can survive. A higher hand must help us now.

“Political analyst” is something to laugh at.

Any real Russian political analyst would end up dead.

But even funnier, here is a Russian whose country has already broken up, whose populace consumes more booze per capita than any other because they are so miserable, who probably had his share when he wrote the article, whose country is on the brink of financial ruin, run by a criminal and this guy is writing about how bad things are in the USA.

He should work on his own problems.

Except that he would end up missing if he tried.

It used to be blessed by God with the right to be the most powerful country in the world, but God will only take so much before sending His wrath. How can He bless abortion, homosexuality, self-centeredness, etc.?

Someone thinks that the 1980s miniseries Amerika was a documentary.

He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored several books on information warfare.

That just makes the Saturday Night Live parody of Sarah Palin even more prophetic:

Katie Couric: On foreign policy, I want to give you... one more chance... to explain your claim that you have foreign policy experience, based on Alaska's proximity to Russia. What did you mean by that?

Gov. Sarah Palin: Well, Alaska and Russia are only separated by a narrow maritime border. [ she holds up her hands ] You've got Alaska here, and this right here is water, and, then, that up there is Russia. So we keep an eye on them.

Katie Couric: And how do you do that, exactly?

Gov. Sarah Palin: Every morning, when Alaskans wake up, one of the first things they do is look outside and see if there are any Russians hanging around. If there are, you gotta go up to them and ask, "What are ya' doing here?" And if they give you a good reason -- they can't -- then, it's our responsibility to say, you know, "Shoo! Get back over there!"

Professor Panarin, I say "Shoo! Get back over there!"

“It will happen someday but in terms of his predictions he reveals a certain lack of knowledge. For example his belief that the central states will become separate because of the “large native American population”.”

Actually, I sense that in his phrase “native” American population, the “population” he is REALLY referring to is Americans of “Euro-heritage” (and NOT “Indians”)...

I agree that it could, and probably will, happen someday.

All one has to do is look at the map showing Hispanic population density in the southwestern states to see that the concept of “Atzlan” is no longer a trivial matter - it is quite real. In half-million-strong rallies - in instances where the Mexican flag is raised over the American flag - we are seeing evidence of “emerging Atzlan”. New Mexico is now majority Hispanic. Euros are a minority in California. When the incoming Obama administration legalizes the illegals, the “poitical tilt” of Texas will suddenly shift leftward (I will draw fire from Texans reading this for even suggesting such a notion).

In the northeast, liberalism is triumphant. There no longer are any elected Republican congressmen from the northeastern states, and but one senator, who will probably be defeated in re-election. In some ways, the northeast is becoming its own nation, as “separated” in ideologies from mainstream America as is San Francisco. I could almost see a future union of the northeast with the maritime provinces of Canada when the breakup arrives.

And that begs the question as to whether Canada could survive a breakup of America to the south. I don’t believe it could. As mentioned, I see the Maritimes going with New England. I see Quebec quite possibly going on its own, perhaps with direct help from France. I predict British Columbia would be partitioned, the northern part going to the New Alaskan Nation and the southern part joining with Washington, Oregon, and northernmost California as the “New Ecological State”. The prairie provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta and the Northwest Territory will join with Alaska and the mountain states to form one conservative nation. That will leave Ontario with nowhere to go but to join the “Great Lakes Commonwealth” along with Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and Iowa. Possibly Indiana as well, but southern Indianans would oppose this.

In the east - as we witnessed in this election - formerly red states are turning blue, such as Virginia and North Carolina. I envision a new “Atlantic Coastal State” along the eastern coast, from Florida north. The only question will be whether the mid-Atlantic states wish to join this confederation or go their own way.

I also see a “Mountain Home” nation, perhaps comprised of West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, perhaps the western portions of Virginia and North Carolina. Of all the emerging nations, this is the one of which I’d like to be a citizen... :)

A lot of folks here are laughing at the notion that the United States could disunite. But how many nations have existed through time with their boundaries forever unchanged, their internal loyalties forever united?

Speaking of loyalties and ideologies, how long has it been seen we have seen them as divided here as they are NOW?

- John

4-6 independent countries composed of geograpically and culturally aligned people.

Separate currencies for each.

Collective treaties for national defense.

Independent commerce agreements with foreign countries.

I think its a possibility for the sole reason of backing out of the national debt load.
