The police should not be allowed to have any weapons that those in their jurisdiction can’t have.
IMHO, gun control laws should apply to the police as well. Let’s see how many of them support gun control then.

Had a friend in college who occasionally rode with a south side of Chicago bicycle gang. For fun, just riding. They dubbed him the "crazy white dude" and frecruited him to DJ at their clubhouse occasionally. He said they had literally crates of AK47s in the back, just in case.
