Obama Supreme Court heading to radical left?

White House scrutinyThere are growing concerns over who Barack Obama may have in mind for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, or C-FAM, is taking a look at potential Supreme Court nominees, since president-elect Obama will fill at least one chair and perhaps more. C-FAM spokesman Piero Tozzi takes a look at one strong candidate, Yale Law School dean Harold Hongju Koh. Tozzi believes he would be dangerous to American interests.

"Dean Koh [has a] penchant for using foreign law sources, and he has argued in amicus briefs and law review articles in favor of importing foreign decisions into U.S. constitutional interpretation," he explains.

Harold KohThe balance of potential candidates, Tozzi notes, tends to lean far to the left. However, he says Obama's possible choices are no reason for the pro-life and pro-family community to go into hiding. "We have got to make people aware of just how radical the president is on abortion -- and it's an opportunity, I think, for a little soul-searching and also to rally the troops."

Tozzi contends a battle is indeed ahead, but it must be fought.

My mistake. I thought he was older than Scalia. Actually, he’s a few months younger than Scalia. They are both 72.

Clinton fired all of the US attorneys and the press shrugged. Bush fired a few and all hell broke loose. &^&%%^&*(^ hypocrites.

Fortunately the worst offenders on the current court are also the most likely to die or resign. But if obama gets a seond term, we're screwed.

According to this there are 14 open on Appeals Courts and many more on other courts. It has been a little publicized deal what the Democrats have done about Federal Circuit Justice appointments. They have not allowed a single of Bush's appointments through in two years.

“Calm down. Baring unforeseen events the balance of the court will not be altered by BHO. Those expected to retire in the next 4-8 years are the liberals.”

However both Justice Kennedy and Justice Scalia will be 77 by the end of Obama’s term. There is no assurance that they will still be there and if Obama gets two terms...???
Kennedy seems to relish his role as the new Sandra Day O’Conner “swing vote” and Scalia has been the most reliable strict constitutionalist.

Again, my concern is in the Federal Bench vacancies. Obama can fill those on day one. How many exist now?

A whole lot, thanks to the rata (reach across the aisle) sh*tbags like McCain et al who refused to enforce the precedent of not allowing filibusters on routine appointments.

I can't understand it either.

Apparently, a gaggle of so-called Catholics have no conscience and think support for the party of death and perversion is the way to go (to hell).

Our pastor gave two sermons in which he admonished the congregants to vote for those who are against killing babies.

The Left has been suggesting excuses to impeach Scalia and Thaomas for years. Baring an unforeseen health problem with one of the conservative justices, this is the only way Obama can own the court in the short run.

Events are beginning to position that appear eerily like Spain in 1936.

Wonder if the Russians will come to Obomba's aid?

Let’s just pray that the 5 most conservative justices refuse to retire until the next Republican President comes along.

Actually it is the tradition that all 93 US Attorneys submit their letters of resignations when a new President takes over since they are appointments of the previous administration and they all serve at the pleasure of the President who appointed them. The new President then decides which resignations to accept and which not to accept.

Obama has already said that the Warren court wasn’t radical enough. I have also heard the name of Deval Patrick tossed around. He is an anti-white racist.

A modern civil war would be exceptionally disruptive and murderous.

And infinitely preferable to living in the kind of perpetual servitude hell the Usurper is planning for us.

WRT the cute picture.

Sorry but 60+ years of empirical evidence has led me to conclude that bears do in fact defecate in the road or trail, which ever is closer at the time of their urge.

O’Bummer will do his best to defecate on the constitutional rights of every hard working citizen of this as now great nation. When he is finished with us bear feces won/t do it.

Our Repub chairman sold our county out to the DIMRAT party boss. Great heroes these miserable country clubbing RINO weasels. Our chairman drives a nineteen year old lincoln ghetto cruiser and looks down on the TuCamma guys , most all of whom drive pickup trucks.

Isn’t life lovely, O’Bummer will probably want to euthanize all us geezers, its dangerous to be able to see through the fecal matter floating on top the septic tank and see what they are really about.
