I guess that’s the only thing this country has left that’s conservative...they don’t want the gays to marry.
Tax us to death, create a welfare state, fine.
Just don’t let the homos marry.
Look, I’m against gay marriage too, but this country just voted for a man who will support gay rights.
Go figure.
One beacon of light.
That’s great news. We’ll have a Socialist country where homos will be in the same concentration camp as taxpayers, capitalists, smokers, Christians and unborn children.
Yipppeee! We win.
Good night.
In a lot of ways, this is more important than the presidency. Marriage between a man and a woman is the foundation of civilized society. We can recover from fake president Obama, but the marriage issue would be very difficult to get back.
Hate to douse cold water, but the early votes in California are the most conservative. The avalanche of Bay Area votes will most likely bury this.
No big deal. President Hussein will appoint judges who will bring change that gays want.
Too soon to get excited yet since we don’t know where that percentage is coming from in the state, but at this point I’ll take any glimmer of good news.
So far, LA county is going YES. LA county is much larger than the Gay Area.
LA county showing 53% to 47% in favor, that is going to hurt the the pro-homsexual crowd.

You’re right. This won’t matter once the SCOTUS vacancies comes up. I had better get married while it still means something.
If McClintock wins then I’ll be somewhat cheered up. Otherwise I’ll jump out the window.
Fortunately my house is only a single floor :)
Where are you getting your data? I can’t get the california sec of state site to come up.
What site are you looking at? ON CNN they don’t have LA county numbers listed at all, still zero’s. Thanks in advance.
Now the donkeys are responsible for everything that’s ahead and CAN’T BLAME REPUBLICANS.

Tom pulling ahead!
If there is any chance of violence anywhere in our country tonight, I fear it may be CA if the Yes vote succeeds.
I also expect a court to intervene and this should present a challenge to the idea that people in CA have a voice in their government through the Proposition system.
The gayshirts have already been going after people in CA and I fear they may take retribution on homes, churches etc.
My totals are actually ahead of the Sac Bee, I’m just trying to find out how someone saw the LA County results. I don’t see any results from LA County yet.
I believe that this time it is an amendment to the constitution so the court can’t do a thing about it.
However, it’s bound to be on the ballot again in the future to have it removed from the constitution. This only buys time the way this state is going.
I don’t recognize it anymore.
Well since this is a constitutional amendment, it is hard to see how it can be found unconstitutional, but I am sure some creative minds will try.
Nevermind, the results for the counties is starting to come in.

Just have a federal judge say it violates the US Constitution.

YEAH! I went to THE CALL at Qualcomm Stadium over the weekend we prayed for GOD’s Holy Covenant to be restored that Marriage is 1 Man and 1 Woman..
Praise be to GOD!
CA Prop 8 will win big.
At least there is some conservatism left in the U.S.
Then it goes to the USSC and if they overturn it, then Gay Marriage becomes the law of the USA.

Prop 2 passing is gonna hurt. Looks like we’ll be eating Mexican food.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
We tried so hard here to battle the no on 8 protesters with counter rallies on the street corners. I hate all this crap. The media, the money and the liberal teachers destroying the hearts and minds of our children.
I am so bummed about tonight.
But President-elect Hussein will silence it with his "civilian security force".
Nationally the results look bad, but here in CA I’d say we did a good job.
If props 8 and 11 pass and McClintock gets in I’d say conservatives did pretty well this election in CA.
As I might say to John Kerry, “Why the long face?” We’re going to win Prop 8, Prop 4 is ahead, too, though maybe we won’t win. I’m confident we’re going to send the great Tom McClintock to Congress from here in CA-4th. Tomorrow we start over in trying to teach the People the value of liberty.
Not to mention that all of the expensive ballot measures are going down to defeat (at the moment).
Exactly when did that ever start?
There's the problem. It's not just a slogan.

Well, for our party leadership, I’d say it started in the first week of November, 1980, ended January 20, 1989, started up again the first week of November, 1994, and ran for about a year or so after that.
Please let proposition four (parental notification of abortion) pass!
why would yes on 8 be good? that’d be bad
Yes on 8 is good.
Yes means banning gay marriage.

So much for the will of the people.
“why would yes on 8 be good? thatd be bad”
Bad if you are a homosexual and wanted to marry another.
Gavin Newsom knows that 8 will pass. He was on TV making disgusted remarks about how we are using the Constitution to take away rights. He didn’t look happy at all. Cool!
Homosexuals have always been free to marry other homosexuals.
Prop 8 does not prevent any homosexual from marrying another homosexual.
Yikes. I wonder where those returns are from — less than 8% reporting. Nevada County, perhaps? Surely McClintock will carry Placer handily.
