Even though Hawaii officials now claim to have verified the authenticity of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate – in hopes of ending widespread speculation and even multiple lawsuits challenging the Democrat candidate's constitutional qualification to be president – it turns out there is still reason for serious questioning.
In fact, there is considerable evidence that Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as the candidate and his campaign have maintained.
As WND reported from Honolulu last week, Gov. Linda Lingle instructed the Hawaii Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to Obama's original birth certificate. Lingle's letter to WND made clear that the original doctor-generated and hospital-released birth certificate on file with the state's health department would be released to the press if Obama so requested – but to date the candidate has made no such request.

Doubts will always exist thanks to Obambi. Was he born here, or in Canada, or in Kenya? Is his father BO Sr or Frank Davis or Malcolm X? Was he perhaps really born Feb 5, 1962? Nobody has the gumption to make him let us see if his birth was as stated, or a lie.

I understand there’s been all the speculation as to whether he was born in Kenya, and whether Mr. Soreto adopted him, which would have made him an Indonesian citizen when he was a little boy.
What I don’t understand, however, is that we know his mother was an American citizen. According to federal law, aren’t children of American citizens considered natural born citizens if born in another country?
When George Romney ran for pres. in the 1968 primaries, it was widely reported that he was born in Mexico, but it was also reported that since his parents were American citizens, that he was considered a natural born citizen and qualified to run for president.

If he was born in Kenya and it finally comes out, he will go down as one of the biggests frauds in history. I suspect he is hoping if it comes out after he is elected that libs will do everything in their power to keep him in power.

The law at the time says she had to have been a US citizen for 5 years past her 14th Birthday. She was 18 when she allegedly had him.

Not true if one parent was not a US citizen. Here is from the Department of State.
Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock: A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.
She did not live in the US for 5 years after the age of 14 before he was born. If he was born overseas, not only would he not have "natural born" citizenship, he would not have US citizenship.
They did no such thing.. This is what she said:

She did not say original Hawaii birth certificate. Under Hawaii law, he could have applied for a Hawaii birth certificate provided he could show his mother was a resident of Hawaii one year prior to his birth. Part of that process is submitting your original birth certificate. So therefore, in accordance with state policies and procedures , they would have his original birth certificate on record. It does not mean it is a Hawaii birth certificate.
CALL FOR ACTION:
Please, all Fellow FREEPERS, please consider doing the following to prevent this mess ever happening again:
Call your State Senator, your State Representative and your Governor and ask them to provide simple legislation to give the Secretary of State the right, responsibility and obligation to confirm eligibility BEFORE ANYONE can go onto the ballot.
Personally, I think the best way to contact them is by phone during business hours, then a follow up by e-mail or mail to the person you talked to, then a follow-up a week or so later, but you can do what you think is best.
Practically, this would require all future candidates to fill out an application with supporting documentation, which could then be checked out by the Secretary of State’s office.
I don’t know about you, buy THIS idea seems a better use of our governments time then providing yet another social program designed to ruin people by not having them be accountable to their families (a basic problem).
If there is an enterprising lawyer or legislator on Free Republic who would like to provide well written sample legislation which could be submitted as a suggestion across the country, it would provide a basis for continuity.
Hope there are many, many people across the country who are willing to do this now, and after the election.

Who knows any more? Hawaii would undoubtedly gain from an Obama presidency, but Linda did speak at the RNC convention on behalf of Sarah.
Obama was in Hawaii Saturday, Oct. 31, don't know if he stayed for his grandmother's birthday on Sunday or not. I don't know when he came back, think he departed sometime Friday for the long flight.
The announcement of the birth certificate being sealed came out about about Oct 26 (Sunday, not a government working day) or Oct. 27.
Everything seems to trace back to wnd which, oridinarily I prefer not to use as a primary source, would rather find a more mainstream source.
The timing is very odd. So it's a good guess but does by no means prove (circumstantial) that Obama went to Hawaii not to see granny as reported by the MSM as a sign of his character, but to make sure that the original didn't get released to the media or unauthorized persons.
AOL had an embedded youtube video about the most recent birt cert flap, and it has been taken down from youtube. I don't know what to think, but do suspect that any and all lawsuits will get thrown out of court.
The liberals don't care about anything that surfaces.
