What does this have to do with the Financial Crisis at hand
This bailout legislation and crisis will last just long enough for the politicians to get the max contributions they can for the legislation they will pass.
Just another ear mark McCain says he wants to end, but will vote for anyway.

There are more earmarks in this bill than the entire population of ears in the US.....

Sec. 601. Secure rural schools and community self-determination program.

our congressmen think we are stupid that what it has to do with bail out.
SEC. 308. INCREASE IN LIMIT ON COVER OVER OF RUM EXCISE TAX TO PUERTO RICO AND THE VIRGIN ISLANDS.
I want to know which Senator is responsible for this. Whoever it is should NEVER be allowed to live it down, and should face a barrage of incoming “wooden arrows designed for use by children” EVERY time s/he dares to show his/her face in public. And we should all be calling/e-mailing our Senators to demand that this frivolous junk provision be removed from the bill.

I just heard Mitch McConnell talking to Shepard Smith, explaining that the Senate just had some cleanup stuff (not sure of the exact wording) and they just threw it in.
Allright, now I am really angry.
Our economic system is in peril and these SOB’s are putting crap like this into a bill to repair things?
