Obama: Lipstick on a Pig (Did he just call Sarah Palin a pig and a stinky fish?)

Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.

"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."

"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."

"We've had enough of the same old thing."

The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

One can make the argument that this was a mere colloquialism but given Palin “Pitbull and Lipstick” joke, this was either a deliberate attack on Palin or a colossally stupid comment. This guy is simply not very smart.

I don’t see this as much of anything and I doubt Sarah Palin does either. In fact I’ll bet she laughs it off when asked about it and turns it right around on Obamadanadingdang. But I think there are folks out there who will be pissed at the One.

I think this is a ploy to provoke an over-the-top response from McCain/Palin.

Osomnia knows that the MSM will cover his butt and this “slip” will wither on the vine. If McCain/Palin were to respond badly to this, the MSM will rake either of them over the coals while giving the one a free pass and make them him the victim.

Off the hook? Is the Huckster aware that Drudge has it ‘up’ as a headline? Show Palin delivering her lipstick comment during the convention, followed immediately by the pig comment from today.

People will be able to put it together.

And then say, "These personal attacks are not change they are more of the same divisive politics of the past"

St. Michael of Huckabee is on with Hannity and is giving Obama the benefit of the doubt. He says it's an old joke and not connected to Sarah Palin. IOW's Obama "misspoke"..LOL~~
