Geez, the links worked in preview mode. Here goes again.

For the New York Times, it is Mrs. Clinton, 97.8% of the time:

Mrs. Clinton 40,800

Ms. Clinton 924

But Ms. Palin 91.8% of the time:

Mrs. Palin 342

Ms. Palin 3,820

Here is a reply that I posted to the NY Times regarding the article on MRS Palin:

September 8th, 2008 2:28 amSo, you state, “She went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that her son Trig’s arrival would not hurt her work. “

Gee, I would have thought that a “progressive” paper such as yours would cheer that a woman such as Mrs. Palin could “bring home the bacon” and “fry it up in the pan”.

Her “struggle” upon learning that her son had Down’s Syndrome I’m sure gave her some pause. She had the sense to trust that God had plans for her and her son perhaps not of her choosing and that she had the grace in her heart to say “Not my will, but thine will be done” means a lot to me and hundreds of thousands of us in the heartland of America.

I’ve been through some of the same struggles that she is now facing in my family personally and I admire her dedication to her family, her commitment to the people of Alaska and bravery in stepping out into the storm of media attention that, as this article proves, will try to lessen her as a woman and mother.

All I have to say is “Go Sarah” and may God greatly bless your family as you, as each of us, struggle with this precious life.

WOW! You are good! Now I would LOVE to see a comparison of how often the word "attack" is used in headlines referencing the responses offered by the candidates to criticism. I suspect what the outcome would be--but sure would be fun to have it done "scientfically".

And yes--Barack--words DO mean things! Sometimes VERY mean things!
