Wow, Wow, a Thousand Times Wow

What did we see tonight?

Tonight, we either saw a watershed in American politics, a tour de force, the most striking and graceful debut in our nation’s political life, and a national introduction that makes Barack Obama’s 2004 convention address look like small potatoes… or we saw what we wanted to see, and the country’s persuadable independents saw something else. I’m afraid to believe. If I’m wrong, I don’t really know what Americans want. I know conservatives are thrilled to pieces, and they ought to be. She knocked it out of the park. I don’t think she could have delivered that speech any better. Even if I hadn’t suggested a line, I would say that the speech hit almost every note just right. (Did the Obama fans feel this way? Is this what their exultation feels like? Wonderful. I’m glad they get to experience it too.)

My e-mail box is thrilled. Cam's Talkbackers are thrilled — "you called down the thunder, and now ya have it."

Let’s put our money where are posts are.

Please go to:

and donate whatever you can afford ... because what you absolutely CANNOT afford is to lose this election.

In the box marked “referred by” write: Sarah Palin.

O’Reilly will try and rehabilitate Obama tomorrow

Exactly. Yet he tries to act like he's this hard-hitting interviewer. Chris Wallace is even more of a softball.

Damn you all, are you going to believe what your eyes and ears tell you about Sarah Palin or what the media tells you!!!

The media put it all on the line to destroy this woman and, I submit, lost. Sarah Palin presented a strong rebuttal to every slight and rumor the media has hit her with. Of course, the media will certainly not realize this. Oh no, instead they will all circle the wagons tomorrow and continue on with their relentless attacks. I wish them good luck as they will simply continue to destroy what is left of their credibility. Afterall, are we going to believe what we witnessed tonight or them, the (cough) trusted and unbiased media?

I just watched it again and I’m 99% sure the comment when she said “I really love those soccer moms, you know the difference betwen a Soccer Mom and a Pit Bull? LIPSTICK” Then she went back to script/the teleprompter. I believe she ad libbed that! I’m just really happy that there’s someone who spoke truth about Barack Hussein Obama to a large population tonight. I’m very happy about those jabs she took at him and did it with a smile! LOLOL

Tommorow? Heck, they started trashing her right away tonight.

However, it didn't make me as enraged with the PMSers as I've been all week .........I guess it's because she had such a great speech that all of a sudden the contrived attacks coming out of their ugly mouths seemed lame, unimportant, and most of all, plain silly.

Campbell Brown is the reason McCain has cancelled his interview with Larry King and any other CNN events.

Your prayers, and mine, were answered tonight, old FRiend.

And I like your “new” tagline.

I swam for a while. Mostly massive denial and vulgarity beyond even their norm, the one thing I didn’t find was anyone identifying her with Reagan. I got to see a Freeper out himself with a post:

“It’s predictive that most of you hated the speech, and despise the woman. It’s a shame, you can’t actually listen for a change, and see the transparency of you’re un-qualified candidate. He’s all talk. Palin’s all action. I realize it’s hard to accept, but truth is truth.” This poster was quickly Trolled. Rustee (7 posts) take a bow!!

One thread title made me smile.
“Sarah Palin=Eve Arden: sarcastic, sour Our Miss Brooks”

One of the longer threads was about where to move to next year.

Palin 2012

Gosh, I'm really going off the deep end. For some reason, my first thought was that was a scripture passage!

“The libs are calling her “sarcastic and mean”.”

The pit bull drew lots of blood. Obama called 911, and is getting an emergency transfusion!

It’s up to the American people to decide. I pray that they will elect two American heroes, and not the communist/plagiarist ticket.

I really love those soccer moms

Hockey moms. And, yes, the talking heads who have a copy of the speech beforehand confirmed that it was an ad lib moment.

When is the last time a VP candidate had to worry about her makeup?

I mean, other than John Edwards....

Gov. Palin is a lady, and I mean that in the finest sense of the word.

I also think that her daughter has to be one of the bravest 17 year olds on the planet. After the press saying all those awful things about her, she stood with poise and grace tonight. I am sure that her folks must be proud of that.

I’ll never play poker with her.

I wouldn't mind playing poker with her if the ante was small enough. I'd figure that it was worth paying $0.25/hand to watch her play. To actually bet anything while she was in the game, though, would be too wild for my blood.

They wanted a contrite, scared, intimidated woman up there tonight. They got anything but!

And kudos to Bristol for standing tall and proud!
