Bristol Palin's pregnancy is a "damaging revelation " that has caused Sarah Palin's image to "suffer." Says who? Says ABC News, in an article by Rick Klein and Jennifer Parker.
In Palin Pregnancy Rocks Political World, Klein and Parker report reaction from a variety of Republican and traditional-values sources. Every one, from Dr. James Dobson to Grover Norquist to Chuck Donovan of the Family Research Council to a pro-life delegate to the GOP convention who said "the fact that her daughter's keeping it and marrying the father is wonderful," had a positive reaction.
But what do they know? Declare Klein and Parker emphasis added]:

What I am wondering is : when did Ms. Palin plan on announcing her daughter’s pregnancy ? Her daughter is 5 months pregnant ! What if she hadn’t been picked for VP ? When was she planning on telling the votes of Alaska ?

If the MSM weren’t such whores and blanketed us with images of these sort of individuals and their huge bellies and how “wonderful” it is for a 16 y/o to have a baby, then maybe parents and their teen kids would have a chance in order to discuss teen pregnancy and the real consequences of it, and the fact that it’s not a Hollywood glamour event, with baby showers costing upwards of $500,000...............

Hmmm. Seems like you just mentioned the entire story. No reason to throw it over to the reporterette to just repeat what you just said.
I suspect that there are tons of women out there who have been pregnant. Some married the fathers, some raised the child on their own or with support of other family, some had abortions. But I bet NONE of them think that this is fair game for public discussion/humiliation just because her mother is a VP candidate. The MSM attack is really going to turn off women, particularly when the MSM won’t even discuss the John Edwards love child story. And he WAS a VP candidate.
This is going to backfire. Big time.
I doubt if any of the nitwits whining about this news were on board with the Palin pick anyway. They see it as an opportunity to ditch her and pick the one they wanted.

I admire those who have such a firm grasp on their lives and fortunes that they can afford the luxury being judgmental of others who don’t meet their standards. I’ll be busy enough on judgment day handling my own defense to worry about anyone else!
