It’s going to be Fred Smith!

Club for Growth is a reputable organization. Their endorsement may not mean much if your key issue is abortion (check NARL or Dr. Dobson's ratings for that), nor may it mean much if your key issue is the 2nd amendment (check the NRA or Brady's ratings for that), but it means a lot to economic conservatives.
For me, it is also a deal breaker. Anyone who can't pass muster with CFG is not a viable candidate.
Only two tests remain for me to declare Eric Cantor a great choice:
- McCain actually has to select him.
- His selection has to bring out howls and jeers among the moonbats, maybe not right away, but once he becomes a known quantity.

Richmond ping for the Eric Cantor bandwagon.
I believe Eric has stopped playing the earmark game saying that is fiscally irresponsible. I’m pretty sure I read that in the Richmond Times Dispatch not too long ago. Corin, is that ringing a bell with you?

McCain just needs to pick 'Mitt', and be done with it.
Of course, McCain usually goes against Repub 'common wisdom'; and suspect he will do the same here.
