Didja year about this one? Some maniac with a huge knife beheaded a man on a Greyhound bus in Canada. If you want a description of what happened, you can click here.

When the attack occurred the other passengers abandoned ship. Hard to blame them. Who wants to rush this maniac with a knife when everyone can get away? I do have a question though. What if someone just one person on that bus had a concealed carry permit and was carrying a gun. How would things have been different?
There's a problem though. This is Canada. No guns. No carry permits. No way to save this victim.
Oh well.
Concealed carry: if it saves just one life.....
From the looks of it, the perp was pretty busy slicing this guy up. There must have been something on that bus that someone could have grabbed and clocked this lunatic with.
Anybody hear the name of the “alleged” cannibal yet?
Witnesses named and interviewed, victim named, but who and where is the “alleged?”
But, but, but... you can’t just let regular people carry guns around all the time.
Someone might get hurt or killed!
I am sure that Greyhound Bus requires all buses to carry a fire extinguisher. That would have taken the guys block off.
Only about 6 or 7 times in the last three days. At least two threads have been deleted.
Nope, and why do you think that is? Maybe it's me, but someone who lop's a head off & holds it up for all to see, sounds like a muzzy.
Again, just me. That, and the fact there's no info about this POS.
This is support of terrorism by Canada (again).

The RCMP have laid charges in the horrific killing of a passenger on board a Greyhound bus in Manitoba.
Foty-year-old Vince Weiguang Li, has been charged with second-degree murder. Li, who is from Edmonton, will appear in a provincial court on Friday.
Friends are identifying the victim of the attack as 22-year-old Tim McLean.
He is described as an easygoing carnival worker from Winnipeg.
Passengers report the man was stabbed 40 to 50 times and then decapitated.
RCMP have revealed very little about the attack, but do say they have no idea what triggered it.
“sounds like a muzzy...”
...to me too....and I expect the name is being withheld for that reason.
Intriguing question, I agree. I am talking from a Dutch perspective, mind. Canadian law enforcers have already termed this horrific crime a ‘one-of-a-kind’ one and assured the population that the punishment will be extremely severe, no matter the state the perpetrator might have been in.
For me it is a grizzly kind of adding-up exercise, or: weighing the pros and ons. Yes, if one passenger would have had a permitted handgun he could probably have saved the victim’s life. On the other hand, there’s no way of denying that the right to bear arms (i.e.: a pistol or revolver) brings its own grave dangers with it, think of the tragedies that happened at U.S. high schools in recent years. They surely are linked to that right to bear arms.
So: I don’t really see a great advantage in widespread carrying of guns, because many people can go off the deep end by one of life’s many possible tragedies, and then go on a killing spree.
But at the same time I know that the American and European perspective on such matters differ hugely. So I’m open to comment and criticism.
the beheadings will continue until morale improves - or until Islam is stopped.

BRANDON, Man. - A 40-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a gruesome stabbing and decapitation aboard a Greyhound bus in Manitoba Wednesday.
RCMP said Friday that Vince Weiguang Li, 40, of Edmonton, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court in Portage la Prairie, Man., Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
Had he cut the person’s head off because he was angry with liberals, more details about the case would be reported.
Reminds me of politics - Sort of like what Obama is trying to do to the oil industry. And all the other industries will be running scared.
The driver, hearing the screams, pulled to the side of the road and opened the doors, allowing passengers to flee. They scrambled over one another and, in their haste, knocked an elderly woman to the floor. One mother, who was seated near the back, threw her toddler forward several rows to get the child away from danger, a witness said.Mr. Caton, who served five years in the Canadian Forces and was closest to the attacker, paused before leaving, torn momentarily between concern for his own safety and the thought of abandoning the bleeding victim. He turned to another man nearby and asked for his help.
I said, Give me a hand and let's get this guy.' And the other guy took off, he said.
It was only moments later that the victim's screams went silent. Mr. Caton knew he was too late.
Mr. Caton jumped off the bus, and was met by a trucker who had stopped after seeing the commotion. The trucker grabbed a crowbar and Mr. Caton got a hammer and they tried to contain the attacker on the bus. The attacker swung his knife at them through the partially closed bus door.
Li will be appearing in the Provincial Court of Manitoba in Portage la Prairie today (August 1, 2008) at 1000 hours.
