I had dinner tonight with some friends. We talked about Tony and wondered who could fill the void of good cheer that was always Tony. He was one of a kind in the press. There’s no replacing him. But you know what he would be telling us to do!
Now I read this thread and start tearing up again. Darn. Darn.
In late June I emailed Tony, telling him that I was photographing our National Team Trials (basketball) in Washington DC in early July, that I could get him in for a behind the scenes look. It was the first email that he did not answer. sigh.

I have received a request to find out if the FReepers who will attend the funeral have a place where they will meet at the church is huge.
