The Horta were living rocks that could move through other rock formations with some sort of acid. Spock mindmelded with them to find they were “caring, emotional parents”.

OMG, I have ZERO memory of this article. And it’s only been four years. Looks like I’d remember something of it, anyway. I know my memory is fading, but this is scary. More so than the monster at the bottom of the sea.
