Kabul, 4 Feb. (AKI) - United States intelligence sources are reportedly claiming al-Qaeda nuclear weapons expert Abu Khabab al-Misri was the real target of last week's CIA airstrike in northern Pakistan which is said to have killed one of the terror network's key leaders, Abu Laith al-Libi.
Al-Misri is reportedly able to make so-called 'dirty bombs' that contain radioactive waste mixed with explosives.
US intelligence services reportedly believe that al-Qaeda has since 1997 been seeking to acquire 'dirty bombs' and other weapons of mass destruction.

Gee wiz....who woulda thought.
(extreme sarcasm)
Uh...wasn’t that why we went into Iraq...to make sure that Saddam did no give Al Qaeda nuclear bombs?
A dirty bomb, or worse.
NO ONE should be very surprised if the worst happens, I’m sad to say.
9/11 was enough warning, but nowhere near enough people in government are heeding it.
I hate to be so gloomy, and I hope I’m 100% wrong.
It seems that it is difficult to spell his name http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1962474/posts?page=21#21
Makes you want to grab libs by the throat and shake them while asking
“WHAT THE F’K IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET YOU TO OPEN YOUR F’N EYES?”
Agreed! And the open-borders crowd too.
Thanks for the ping.
Hello, first post.
When I read about the “dirty bomb” threat, then see how little the U.S. cares about its border safety, cargo inspections, etc. I don’t conclude our government doesn’t “get it.” Of course they get it; the people ruining our government are plenty smart. They just aren’t concerned, that’s all. And it baffles me as to why folks are confused by this: Ominous threats from dark skinned foreigners . . . and open borders? What?
The reason is obvious to a clear eyed thinking person: Despite all the hype our government knows there is no real domestic terrorist threat. And face it: Our government is encouraging the swarm because our “Unitary Executive” has already signed a treaty with Mexico and Canada do dissolve our borders. He doesn’t care what we think.
We made the Mujahadeen in the 1980’s (Taliban, Al Qaeda). http://www.counterpunch.org/brzezinski.html The CIA paid them and trained them and set them to work blowing sh*t up and fighting commies. The ones who are still alive are still useful and still on our payroll (via Pakistan). Their contact information is in a database everyone in the biz calls “The Base.” The Arabic word for “The Base” is . . . (drumroll) . . . Al-Qaeda. And they won’t come here unless the CIA tells them to.
Just last week (or was it this week?) British intel, part of the “coalition of the willing,” was busted training Taliban insurgents for counterterrorism activities . . . against the people we are supposed to be trying to HELP!
The elites in charge of our foreign policy are MAKING TROUBLE to give the US/British/Israeli Triangle an excuse to do whatever: Turn the Middle East into a nuclear wasteland. Seize oil fields. Weaken Iran. Overthrow uncooperative puppets. Pass legislation and executive orders that pound our Constitution to sh*t. Create the “Unitary Executive.” Spy on US citizens. Torture. Build the government apparatus (detention centers for hundreds of thousands???? do we even HAVE that many Al Qaida?) necessary to impose a police state. All to fight the “war on terrorism.” The so-called “threat” is designed to make us SHUT UP AND TAKE IT, and offer up our children as cannon fodder for the imperialist cause.
Today U.S. spy satellites are turned toward US, and public officials are speaking ominously of “domestic terrorists” and “internet insurgents.” That’s you and me, folks. Not Al Qaida. “Better watch what you do, watch what you say.” (Ari Fleishman, former Bush spokesperson).
A famous quote from Captain Butler, the man responsible for foiling a fascist coup in the US in 1933 sums it up nicely: “War is a racket.” So many conservative foreign policy folk have written and spoken quite plainly about this: The Pentagon Papers, PNAC, Moshe Sharret’s diary, Brzezinski’s The Grand Chessboard, the Cato Institute’s “Green Peril.” Except they’re in FAVOR of the racket. Cannon fodder is a DISPOSABLE RESOURCE to them.

Here I am, a registered Republic from a conservative Midwestern family. I can see it, so I don’t “get” why so many of my conservative brethren don’t. Do we need enemies so badly we’re willing to invent them?
Moshe Dayan: [Israel] must see the sword as the main, if not the only, instrument with which to keep its morale high and to retain its moral tension. Toward this end it may, no it must invent dangers, and to do this it must adopt the method of provocation-and-revenge...And above all let us hope for a new war with the Arab countries, so that we may finally get rid of our troubles and acquire our space.
Sharetts Diary entry for June 1955: Ben Gurion himself said it would be worthwhile to pay an Arab a million pounds to start a war. What a slip of the tongue!
Sam Huntington: “A government which lacks authority will have little ability short of cataclysmic crisis to impose on its people the sacrifices which may be necessary.”
William Casey, CIA Director,1981: “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”
Quotes from Michael Ledeen of American Enterprise (AEI) and Heritage:
“Creative destruction is our middle name. We do it automatically.”
“Peace increases our peril ... Peace . . . is a dream . . . and would undermine the power of the state.”
of course, we can always get Lucky. Stunning events from outside can providentially awaken the enterprise from its growing torpor (laziness), and demonstrate the need for reversal (from peace), as the devastating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 so effectively aroused the U.S. from its soothing dreams of permanent neutrality.
LUCKY? WTF???? This is false flag terrorism, and American citizens and soldiers are dying for these azzholes and their imperial designs. REAL conservatives don’t care for imperialism and war. Are there no real conservatives anymore, only Straussian neocons? Strauss was a fascist!
