These Boots Are Gonna Walk All Over You (EU Federalizes)
Brussels Journal ^ | 12/13/07 | Prof. Anthony Coughlan

Posted on 12/15/2007 10:06:40 AM PST by Bokababe

Today the European Union leaders signed the Lisbon Treaty. This treaty gives the EU the constitutional form of a state. These are the ten most important things the Lisbon Treaty does:

1. It establishes a legally new European Union in the constitutional form of a supranational European State.

2. It empowers this new European Union to act as a State vis-a-vis other States and its own citizens.

3. It makes us all citizens of this new European Union.

....... 4. To hide the enormity of the change, the same name – European Union – will be kept while the Lisbon Treaty changes fundamentally the legal and constitutional nature of the Union.

5. It creates a Union Parliament for the Union's new citizens.

6. It creates a Cabinet Government of the new Union.

7. It creates a new Union political President.

8. It creates a civil rights code for the new Union's citizens.

9. It makes national Parliaments subordinate to the new Union.

10. It gives the new Union self-empowerment powers.

This should have been all over the news and yet it was barely a mention. It completely changes the EU and our relations with them.

Its the end-run around the slap-down the French, Dutch and Danish voters gave to the EU Constitution a few years back.

I’ll guarantee you there are a number of people on our forum who would love to see an AU. IMO, the trade and security agreements we are entering into, are only precursors to such an eventuality. That’s why I want nothing to do with them.

You can’t build a building without a corner stone. These corner stones should be avoided at any price.

It’s the start of a new era in Europe. Whether this is for the better or the worse, I’m not too sure.

Here's a couple of appropriate graphics on the meaning of this EU treaty from a friend of mine's website:

"Is this for real, or is it some kind of bizzaro-world fantasy?! I mean...reading these things as actually occurring today just borders on surreal. :-)"

I know what you mean, Tony. I felt the same way. But it's not some paranoid fantasy, it's real.

.......and all done without the express consent of the governed. This can go one of two ways: Euro-Fascism or the eruption of new nationalisms.

I don't get it. They were getting along just fine with each other, being good neighbors, etc., but now they think that being a good neighbor means marrying your neighbor. Silly. This is going to cost them a lot, you can't just cram different nations into each other and not have friction and fire (unless you apply selective brutality).

Which bloc of countries will be the first to declare independence from the EU?

Its the old EU Constitution dressed up as a treaty. Europe's elites have decided they're going to impose a European Government on the continent's nation-states regardless of the people's wishes.

Yes.. the European people were left out of this process and many feel very awkward the way to EU is going forward without popular support. When the economy turns sour, I wonder whether this new form of union can keep together when it’s built on such fragile foundation..

Those who signed this treaty to establish this Vierte Reich/Troisieme Empire ought to be prosecuted for treason to their countries.

It empowers this new European Union to act as a State vis-a-vis other States and its own citizens.

So at the UN, one seat on the Security Council for the EU, one vote in the General Assembly?
