“The Godhead is God, Christ and the Holy Ghost, Mormons believe that they just don’t believe they share one body.” ... I ask you, humbly, do you believe God the Father Almighty has a flesh and bone body and that Jesus ALSO has a flesh and bone body?... Then from whence came the flesh and bone body of God the Father Almighty in your paradigm for Godness? How does Mormonism teach God the Father acquired His flesh and bone body?... And your thinking might should take in to consideration that John 1 teaches that ALL things that ARE were created by The Word Who was with God and was God.

This is an awful lot to ask a guy at 11:00pm but I’ll take a stab at it, my wife could do it a lot better but is already gone to sleep.

Does God have a body? As far as I know the scripture don’t really give us a definitive answer on this but when Stephen saw him as he was being stoned it looked like he did. When Moses described Adam as being in the image of God in Genesis he then in the same breath described Seth as being in the image of Adam. When God walked in the Garden he spoke face to face to Adam.

Does Jesus have a body? Well he did the last time anyone saw him on earth right after his ministry. When he ascended to heaven for the last time he had a body, recall that he made a point to make sure the apostles knew that he was not a spirit, he made them handle him and made them watch him eat meat. The two angels standing nearby as he ascended told the followers not to marvel at the way He was leaving because He would come back the same way. Now I don’t know what it is that you think Christ would have done with His body but He had it when he left and apparently will have it when He returns. I suppose it is possible that He put it in storage for the last 2000 years but I doubt it.

When Mary, the first one to see the resurrected Lord started to touch him He told her not to touch Him for he had not yet ascended to His Father and her Father, Mary and Jesus must have been brother and sister. Certainly we know at least that Christ and God the Father of us all were not in the same place at the same time.

The reality is that the scriptures don’t make this all real clear to some of us, there are as many different beliefs about the Christian religions as there are Christian religions. For all of those religions including Mormons it seems they have a LOT more in common than not. When someone honestly looks at the same scripture and comes to a different conclusion than us and we tell him that he is terrible or not fit for some office because of it then it is we who are the bigots.
