In a related story I got into a debate in a UK story where a boxer was shot in the UK, where handguns are banned.
UK stats have shown that crime has risen heavily since their handgun ban in 1997. They do keep good statistics though.

Canada used to pride itself on good order and government. It hasn't been an orderly society for a long time. The Canadian sense of being different from America is being lost. But I can state with certainty PC solutions like banning guns aren't the answer to crime in the Great White North.
