Muslims in anti-terror campaign British Muslims are leading a new campaign condemning the recent attempted car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow. The campaign, titled "Not in Our Name", will be launched across the UK with adverts in newspapers.
It emphasises "the Muslim community's rejection of any attempts to link any such criminal attacks to the teachings of Islam", organisers said.
Muslims from various professions have backed the campaign, including doctors.
The advert, accredited to "Muslims United", also carries a quotation from Koran reading: "Whoever kills an innocent soul, it is as if he killed the whole of mankind.
"And whoever saves one, it is as if he saved the whole of mankind."
'Calm response'
The emergency services have been praised for "working tirelessly and courageously" while the government has been commended for handling the crisis "calmly and proportionately".
The advert, which will also appear on billboards, buses and underground trains, calls for the community to stand united against terrorism.
The campaign has received support from Conservative Muslim Forum, Islamic Relief, the Islamic Society of Britain and Muslim Doctors and Dentists Association among others.

It's always "we condemn terrorism," don't connect Islam to terrorism. One news report listed a web site set up by this group, it explains Islam -- that's always included also; to wit, let us teach you Islam.
No, the only Muslims I will believe are the ones with a fatwa against them for condemning ISLAMIST terrorism.
I agree with the point made above, innocents just may not include non-Muslims.
The recent killing of Spanish tourists has triggered much more resentment toward the cowardly terrorist Muslims. Maybe the next step will be mass deportations of Muslims for each innocent citizen they murder.
I dunno, if you actually read the passage where this oft quoted verse is lifted from, you find enough qualifiers to make you think that it is still 'ok' for the reader to 'smite' non-believers (those that 'make war on allah and Mad Mo')...
Here are couple of English translations I found:
Surah 5: 32- 34
Picthall translation
32 For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.
33 The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom;
34 Save those who repent before ye overpower them. For know that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Palmer translation
For this cause have we prescribed to the children of Israel that whoso kills a soul, unless it be for another soul or for violence in the land, it is as though he had killed men altogether; but whoso saves one, it is as though he saved men altogether. Our apostles came to them with manifest signs; then, verily, many of them did after that commit excesses in the earth. The reward of those who make war against God and His Apostle, and strive after violence in the earth, is only that they shall be slaughtered or crucified, or their hands cut off and their feet on alternate sides, or that they shall be banished from the land;- that is a disgrace for them in this world, and for them in the next is mighty woe; save for those who repent before ye have them in your power, for know ye that God is forgiving, merciful.
And, for 'truth in advertising' sake, if they are going to quote so approvingly from a small sub-section of verse 32, they probably should also quote from verse 51 from the same Surah 5...
51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
Prayers for these folks, because they are truly trapped in darkness if they are trying to follow these koran and hadith writings. Its written to egg on those who commit mayhem -- and pulling a few 'friendly' verses out of context isn't going to help anyone...

Ahh, but what they don't say is that they consider anyone not born muslim as an infidel - i.e., not innocent. ergo....

According to the Koran, us non islam believers are not “innocent”, and they are trying to “save” themselves by trying to kill us first.
Pretty clear statement, I hope Westerners don’t fall for that double speak that Islam is.

I'd trust the hundreds of thousands of Turkish citizens who took to the streets to protest against their religious-minded prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I'd also trust the Turkish military which has always had the duty to protect modern Turkey's secular republic. The military has warned the government already. The military has more than once forced new elections.

This is garbage — killing innocents not okay, but the infidel is never innocent. And notice they’re opposed to anyone linking the teachings of Islam to the crimes — not the actual commission of the crimes, just pointing out that Islam is the sole inciting cause of the crimes.

How chilling that the Quran is quoted in this advert. On my calculation Islam must have killed trillions of people. Of course it exposes the human source of the Quran.
Sura 5:35 say that if anyone of the children of Israel slew another it would be as if he slew the whole people.
Mishnah Sanhedrin 4.5 records that Gen 4:10 says the voice of thy brother’s bloods creith (plural not the singular). The blood of Abel and of his seed is what “bloods” means so man was created single and so if he kills one person it is if he kills the whole race and vice versa if he saves a person.
The mistake in the midrash, is it uses the plural “bloods”, inventing a universal application of Gen 4:10. This non-scripture finds its way into the Quran, but not the midrash“reason” for the interpretation. (That man was created single so the death of one equates to the death of all
