jerry - Rudy helped cover up 911, sent the evidence to China and a traitor with his law fim, privatizing and selling AMERICAN highways

You sure get in a snit over nothing. Why do we have to fill stage with candidates who can’t poll 10%? I want to hear more from those candidates who have a chance to win nomination.

you dont know Huck too much, do some searching, check with arkansas freepers. he is a pro illegal immigrant guy. was also involved with the “health” of your kids ie removing vending machines from schools. likes to give clemency to preacher murderers. Now, granted I think he is a nice man, he has decent morals, he is NOT what we need for president, we sorta have him in office right now.

I do know Huck pretty well. He's not "pro-illegal immigrant".

Taking vending machines out of public schools is not diminishing anyone's freedom, it's within the legitimate constitutional concept of "promoting the general welfare." Kids have too much of a sugar-carbohydrate filled diet as it is, and don't get the exercise we did when I was coming up in the 50s and 60s. Parents can let their kids get obese and be couch potatoes at home.

You can tell a lot about a candidate from his/her supporters and their tactics. From LGF:

Ron Paul Supporters Show the Love

Wow. The Ron Paul zombies were really busy last night. I have more than two dozen hate mails this morning, each more obscene than the last. I’m a Nazi. I’m a Jew. I’m a fascist. I’m an establishment bootlicker. I’m cowardly, moronic, and myopic. How do I sleep at night? I suck, and I should have carnal relations with myself. Ron Paul is the only one who can save our “cesspool of a country.” I’m a racist piece of sh*t, and a fake chickenhawk.

Here’s a good one:

All of you who believe in AlKida or the US Government are complete and total idots!

Some are demanding proof that our poll was spammed. Some are threatening to “expose my fraud.”

Most of them insist that our poll wasn’t spammed, that Ron Paul is the only hope for America, and that I am one of the most evil beings in the universe.

Wow! I never thought I’d read that kind of defense of an action like that here on FR.

Se he was a fat slob, got wise and lost weight and now he wants to restrict other people’s freedoms to make their own choices. Now that’s my kind of Republican!

Why do we have to fill stage with candidates who can’t poll 10%? I want to hear more from those candidates who have a chance to win nomination.

These early primaries are supposed to give the people who aren't media magnets (Giuliani, McCain, Romney) a fair shot at winning over the Republican base. If we automatically set the level at 10%, that would give the media way too much power over the decisionmaking process, and we all know what they're up to. At least in the early rounds, we should have as many of the candidates out there as feasible. We have plenty of time. (For the record, it's not like they're letting any Joe Bob Candidate into the debates. They still have to have 1% recognition or something like that.)

Now that we've seen most of the qualified candidates, I think it's fair that we raise the threshold to something like 3-5%, so that the underdogs like Hunter and Tancredo, who may have a chance if they can get some press, can stay in it.

Over nothing? Banning a candidate from a debate for making an accurate statement is not nothing.

If you want to hear how bad the US is and how we are fighting an illegal war why not just watch the dems debate and find your candidate there.

How is he restricting anyone’s freedom by taking vending machines out of public, state run schools?

It is no more restricting anyone's freedom by taking vending machines out than it is to require kids to wear clothes.

Freedom does NOT mean you can do any damn thing you want.

Paul was talking about how bad the U.S. is? Or did he just say something you didn’t want to hear?

If you want kids to eat the kind of junk that companies put in vending machines, use your freedom to start your own school and put them in.

You know, using your illogic, keeping porn out of public schools is "restricting freedom" too.

Please learn how to think,

All those you said called you an idiot, might be justified considering anyone who associates the removal from public/state run schools of vending machines that sell junk to kids with “restricting freedom” certainly exhibits characteristics of idiocy.

ok lets leave the vending machine thing out..not really the biggest arguement. He also used state funding to purchase property for the Mexican Consulate inLittle rock. He ALSO came out in opposition to arkansas state legislature’s bill to DENY illegal aliens access to state services. He said he didnt know what kind of “Jesus Juice” the bill’s authors were on. I think W and Huck are good men but we dont really need another 4 years of what we have. W’s playing nice with the dems gets us no where we need a REAL STRICT CONSERVATIVE and they will be hated by the media...who gives a rip.

You have the nerve to tell me to learn how to think when you compare porn with vending machines? When you compare vending machines with wanting children to eat “dangerous” food “evil” companies put in them? LOL! That’s funny.

What else would you like to ban to protect “the children” (always the excuse used by the nanny state leftists when they want to control behavior).

Hey, you’d feel right at home here in MA. We have a gay State Senator who just just tried to ban Fluff from school cafes. Even in this crazy State he was publicly humiliated into withdrawing his bill.
