So early in this thread, I responded to your hysterical raving with my post #3497.

ScreamingFist made a similar comment to me. Big deal. I didn't smash the abuse button, I pointed out that in their zeal to condemn something I had posted upthread, that both Miss Marple and ScreamingFist were engaging in the same sort of behavior they were condemning.

I make no apologies for my post #3497 to you, nor have I asked for any apologies from you for your sneers and ridicule. .

This is a political forum. Things get warm, even hot in here. I can handle it just fine. But if someone can't deal with it, they shouldn't be here, simple as that.

And I'm looking forward to your response to my post #15219.

You really should be more clear in your accusations. It was you, mkjessup, who posted each and every one of the following comments:

Does posting such drivel make you feel more like a Conservative Man?

I’m only spot reading this thread and I didn’t see those bannings so I don’t have an opinion on the mechanics.

But I feel sad when someone who was here long before me and who made me welcome and who has been kind and civil with me even when we have disagreed leaves or is banned.

And I also miss a bunch more who were less perfect.

But I do think what is happening is natural.

With Bill Clinton serving 8 years and both Al and Hillary itching to follow, it was pretty easy to build a big tent of opposition.

It is always easier to unify against a common enemy than to hold together after.

I do wish it wasn’t so wrenching for the long term members. There are real emotions here because people have known each other and invested here.

That’s a long winded way of saying I don’t understand viewing this separation as a cheerful thing.
