Have you tested Splenda in a recipe like this? I do use Splenda and would be pleased to save the calories, but in some recipes, there is no substitute for sugar.

You're absolutely right, RM. Certain voices had become dominant to the point that FR was straying significantly from its conservative course. There has been a course correction and it only stands to reason that the few (and it was always just a few, but it was a very LOUD and aggressive few) who had worked so hard to take control of the ship are now angry and sullen over their loss of control. They are now proving that they know how to play the victim card better than any liberal.
Of course many of them could stay, but they don't find the house rules to their liking. So they've exercised their free will, opused, and moved on.

I guess they don’t like it now that things have settled down. Could just be stirring the pot some.

LOCK THIS THREADI was hoping for something timeless and memorable, something like:

Yes I have. Your recipe sounds just like mine. I use it in all my cookie recipes not just that one. My pumpkin chocolate chip bars use a cup and a half of sugar plus I mix two tb of sugar with cinnamon to sprinkle on top. There is no difference in the cooking or the taste.

Get out your hankies. A “newbie’s” transformation from lurking loner to fearsome warrior, courageously abusing and trying to intimidate his betters for God and country.
“Well, because it was the first thread I saw that good (sic) me as excited as helk (sic) to be a conservative....I was in the right place at the right time....I like to work and don’t mind putting my time and talent toward what I view as a critical time in this nation’s history.”
And you, along with your other patriot pals, apparently don’t have too much going for you in your own little lives since you can stay on one thread for days and nights on end
exploiting the fears and confusion of genuinely religious and patriotic members with your sleazy appeals to those things they hold dear.
And tonight you are alone but good to go with “...definately (sic) some Flag Waving — (yeah, better capitalize “flag”; the rubes really dig that) — and a bit of Patriotic celebration before tomorrow — which is when I plan to introduce a few ideas as moving forward points.”
Onward and upward, right jedward? Saving the Republic calls for strong action, like hustling out pictures of our troops and the twin towers and curly-headed moppets waving little flags. The aptly named Eternal Vigilance, whose eagle eye can discern treason in a misplaced comma, keeps flipping out images of other people’s valor, other people’s real heroism,
to serve a purpose that has little to do with what you and he proclaim.
You might get help with the few ideas and “moving forward points” from, http://www.libertypost.org/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=25465
where a former colleague of Mr. Robinson’s can educate a “newbie” like you on how to put your “time and talent” to work for you.
You might also be interested in http://www.sweetness-light.com/archives wehere you can find an article, “Deja vu - The Latest Meltdown at Free Republic” — or perhaps you and your fellow freedom fighters are already familiar with its contents from personal experience?
G-d, that I would find myself even addressing you and the rest of the dirty-mouthed riff-raff Mr. Robinson has turned loose on this site...ugh.

Oh you know it, we had a '51 Buick Super w/Straight Eight and Dynaflow and once it got rolling, you needed a lotta space if you wanted to stop! lol
Great, great cars. :)
