Ah, the liberal card. The last resort of somebody who has nothing else to add.

Hillary wants to give us national healthcare which will bankrupt us.

What is Rudy's position on health care?

““I hope you’re out looking for a post that backs this up:

Like the time you insinuated that I was on drugs and gay because I dared disagree with the mier’s pick.

I’m gonna need a link from you to back that up. “”

Well here’s the backup, howlin:

Are you now implying that equal rights is affirmative action?

LOL.

I love those posts - “You people are so mean to rudy I’m going to vote for him now!”

Some principles!

As usual, you've taken liberties with your resources.

Your link returned this:

Abortion was, in President Reagan’s view, an infringement on God’s sacred command to protect innocent human life. Indeed, Reagan felt so passionately about the right to life that he felt without it, other rights had no meaning. He called the restoration of the right to life the most important challenge facing the character of America. President Reagan believed that the continuance of abortion, the taking of some 4,000 lives of children everyday, would only bring about trouble for America. He even posed the ominous question: “Do you really think… God will protect us in a time of crisis even as we turn away from him in our day-to- day life?”

President Reagan did not always take such a strong position against abortion as his rhetoric implies. Indeed, he signed into law a permissive abortion bill early in his California governorship which has resulted in more than one million abortions. He publicly later regretted this decision, and he said it was the biggest mistake he made in government.

So where does it say he was Pro abortion and signed a "liberal" bill into law.

It is as I posted.

Can you ever tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

As for class, how would you know what that is?

:O)

P
President Reagan backed a constitutional amendment during his run for president which would prohibit abortions in all cases except for ones in which the mother’s life was endangered. As a candidate and as president, he would defy his handlers and address pro-life leaders repeatedly.

“When Reagan changed from a Democrat to a Republican and pro choice to pro life, he was embraced.”

Peach, you seem to ignore my posts but please give me the sources for the proof that Ronald Reagan was pro-choice.

Rodney King you seem to have the same sources, what are they?

Free Republic is a conservative site. We support conservative candidates and causes. We don’t like to waste our time and resources fooling around with liberal trolls that come in to smear, smash, bash and trash our conservative candidates and or to push their obnoxious, repugnant liberal positions on us, so we routinely zot the liberal trolls who do so.

Please tell me why we should allow people to come in here to trash our conservative candidates? And why should we respect the positions of pro abortionists, etc (getting tired of typing the laundry list of Rudy's liberal positions)?

“However, even if the caller had been completely healthy, Rudy could have handled the call far better and didn’t have to respond in kind.”

That’s the real point. His response showed someone with thin skin who doesn’t have the temperament to hold the highest office in the land. You have to combine this with things like the case against new york magazine (which he lost) where he refused to let them run an ad on city buses because it very gently poked fun at him.

Interestingly, I said that I would NOT vote for Rudy, but I would pray that he would win without me (in my state I doubt my vote would cause Hillary to win over Rudy).

I might not be able to cast my vote for a candidate as flawed as Rudy, but I might still think it better that he win.

Most of the damage I see coming with Rudy would be done by his being on the ballot, which I couldn’t change one way or another.

And if I opposed him, I wouldn’t personally feel like a hypocrit when I spent 4 years fighting his positions and looking for a candidate to primary him.

But while I think Hillary might be better for our election prospects in 2010 than Rudy, I don’t think I could wish Hillary on our country over Rudy.

I would pick Hillary over Obama and Al Gore. But that’s a democratic primary, not the general election.

I had opined that some of the Rudymites here on FR are paid employees or consultants of Rudy's campaign.

That's your post. You didn't say it to me, but since I'm a "Rudymite", I responded, if that's okay with you. And sure. I came here in 1998 thinking that maybe some day Rudy would run for president. And he's paid me for all my posting here. /s

And while I’ve seen other people say the same thing, I don’t recall a freeper saying they would cast a vote for hillary.

I remember when the Rudy people tried to trash Land by saying HE would vote for Hillary, but he was not a freeper, and it turned out the reporter screwed up (like most of us with sense could tell) and Land had just said he would NOT VOTE.

I’ve seen a lot of people say they would vote 3rd party or not vote, but none who said they would vote for Hillary.

I doubt ANY freeper said that, except maybe in jest. But Hillary does always get a few votes on the freeper polls. Probably MurrayMom, and some other trolls hiding out there.

That’s why I wanted to see the actual names, to see if any of them were serious and needed to have an attitude adjustment.
