In two states, Missouri and Montana, a Republican seat in the Senate was lost because of 'conservative' third party voters.
That would have been the difference in the vote today.
Third party voters and stay at home non-voters contributed to the mess we are in now.
That is a fact.

I'll stoke that fire some more. Another reason the GOP lost the election is due to a deliberate attack upon senators and congressman who were vulnerable to defeat.
The Rats did their homework and went after every single elected official who they felt they could beat and they did it! I saw it here in Indiana with Chocola, Hostettler, and others losing against candidates they had beat in previous elections. Last year was a smear campaign of enormous preportions and they got away with it.
