32? I became conservative just after I graduated from college. I think it was my year living in South Korea that did it. Trying to explain Clinton's stupidity over his engagement of North Korea probably did it.
No. I prefer anonymity. LOL!
Tamar you sound like such a radical conservative woman just from reading your posts on these Savage threads. I find it hard to believe you were ever A FLAMING LIB,
I was never a flaming lib, more like a moderate democrat, ala Zell Miller but I became more conservative during my time living in South Korea as I watched as Madeline Dimlight tried to sell out one of our stauchest allies (South Korea) down the river.
It makes my blood boil to think we might be doing it again (and selling out our own WOT to boot)!
Truth,
I listen to way to much talk radio. Savage when I can, (night classes) but I got to tell you a trend is emerging between Savage and Beck, and that is, the wheels are coming off the bus and fast.
They have been both very pessimistic as of late. Glenn talked to day of throwing in the towel a few months back.
But if you add up all the negatives they speak off: Europe gone, the nose of Surya law trying to get under the tent here in the U.S., the War protesters starting to get violent. Tonight Savage talking about the warrior in men and "protecting" oneself.
One can't help but wonder with Pelosi using the phrase "Bunker Whitehouse" and the subpoena's and the war protest, you can't help but wonder if the liberals think it's 68-72' all over again, they are trying to take down GWB like they did Nixon, period.
I am afraid however the push the left is hellbent on may end up resembling the line from that old Charlie Daniels Song, About laying your hand on a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, then you will finally understand.....
Gee, and all along I thought it was the 'Kimchee' and 'Soju' that made you conservative. Silly, silly me!

Some of these I really have a hard time figuring out.
Kimchee and soju don't make you conservative. However, the kimchee will certainly put a fire in your belly and the soju can make you act stupid (and probably pass out) if you drink enough of it.
Particularly if this is what your fridge looks like. LOL!
Here's a phone booth meeting.
mmmmmmmm...I'll take the guy and leave the soju! LOL!
What if I told you they were a package deal? ; )
Sorry that I disappeared, Tark.
Yeah I have Java installed. 2 of the three scrolling texts are smeared and completely un-readable for some reason.
Oh, yeah, that's you with some liberal politician.....
He is too liberal for the likes of you and I. However, I saw a nice bumper sticker the other day that I agree with.
Hi.
Don't get me wrong, I support the troops in Iraq, and I support the war in Iraq, and I think that the WMD reason to go there was VALID.
Iraq is NOT the issue for me. What President Bush is doing is EXPECTED of any President - it is his duty. (I also think the war in Iraq needs more force, much more air power, and a partition of the country as well.
President Bush's FAILURE is his refusal to secure the border. More ominous is his determination to combine Canada, Mexico and America into one super-state-trading-zone. All wrong. It is wrong from a political persepective, it is wrong from the viewpoint of liberty, and speaking non-politically, but from a Biblical perspective, it is also wrong.
What do I mean by that? At the tower of Babel, God confused the languages and (de facto) created the nations. I think he did this to preserve truth, so that no one person could have a monopoly on power. Implicitly, the US Constitution echoed this in our "separation of powers" concept.
(By the way, this is a primary reason that President Bush CANNOT back down on this US attorneys flap. They were appointed to serve in the EXECUTIVE branch. The (Dem) Congress should keep their noses out and concentrate on doing their own jobs, and quit trying to take over the executive branch.)
Back to the border, though. President Bush is failing (has failed) in this primary duty. Again, it is EXPECTED of him. It is non-negotiable. This is not a small issue, like deciding to have blue carpet versus red draperies in White House.
Unfortunately, President Bush has a fatal flaw in his thinking that has him bound and determined to create the amalgamated North American Union. This is unacceptable for a President of the United States.
(By the way, if Canada or Mexico wanted to join the USA, then THAT would be something to consider, but they would have to realize that they would be joining an established system, with a superior governmental operating philosophy. Their systems would not be considered to be on an equal footing with the United States, and they would enter the Union as many other territories have done in the past.
"Rotten, stinking illegal scum invade our country, suck off our hospitals, schools and social programs, then threatens US with a boycott."
I cannot agree completely with this post. The Mexicans coming over are not scum. They are humans created in the image of God.
Yes, they are lawbreakers, and yes, they should be deported.
But you'll have to agree that the PRIMARY people to blame are the US politiicans for refusing to secure the border, and the other main party of blame are the Mexican oligarchs who REFUSE to de-socialize their economy.
You're absolutely correct on all points, FT. Like Savage, sometimes the frustration builds in me, and I take it out on all involved. Take the illegal alien problem and switch it, oh say, with vermin (bugs and small animals) that enter your home. Sure, you realize they're only doing what they have to do to survive, but they've gotta go!
Hey Tark,
I understand the frustration. Believe me. See you on today's thread??
Hey WITT, thanks for a little bit of your story too. You're probably like an ex-smoker now--can't stand the smell of liberals now that you've seen the light.
I've noticed one thing about myself, the more conservative I get over the years, the less racist/bigoted/prejudice/whatever I have become. I can't say I'm totally without any of it, but less so. I'm more of a politicalist now. I prefer conservatives and decent people over trashy libs of whatever color. One black conservative that I really appreciate is the Rev. Jesse Lee Petersen. I have more in common with a black, male reverend than I do with, say, someone like those Edwards bloggers--white, college educated, pro-abortion females.
