Poll Title

A new proposal will keep the county timber payments program alive for five more years if the president signs it into law. What’s your view of this? Please select one: A. That’s great. The feds need to live up to the promise they made to the states regarding timber payments. B. It’s good. Five more years will give everyone enough time to transition economies before funds are cuts. C. All this means it that in five years we’ll hear the same cries from counties for more money. D. To alleviate this issue, we just need to resume logging in our national forests.

TOPICS: Extended News; News/Current Events; US: Oregon
KEYWORDS:
Eastern Oregon is the polar opposite of Western Oregon(despite liberal incursions into Hood River and Deshutes County) and so deserves our support. There were only 25 votes totalled when I found it...I would like to see thousands. But, if their servers blowup I disavow any knowledge of this posting. Hit the link, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select D.

Yea, I know that C is the most truthful answer, but, nonlogging is the problem(of course, to resume logging would mean the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, of EcoNazis.)

One would hope even rabid anti-smokers will be able to see the big picture in this instince. I suppose that will depend upon whether or not they allow their emotions to overcome their intellect.

Pardon the typo. It's not 'instince,' it's instance.
