...Resolved, That this convention does explicitly declare, as the sense of the American people, that after four years of failure...of war, during which, under the pretense of a military necessity, or war power higher than the Constitution, the Constitution itself has been disregarded in every part, and public liberty and private right alike trodden down, and the material prosperity of the country essentially impaired,-justice humanity, liberty and the public welfare demand that immediate efforts be made for a cessation of hostilities...to the end that, at the earliest practicable moment, peace may be restored...
Surrender monkeys.
The tradition of defeat lives on. Was the Democrat Party founded in France?
As a black man myself I am reticent to admit to what I am about to say. You have no idea as to how many in the black community have been corrupted by racial identity and racial grievance mongering politics. Racial anti-black conspiracies abound here, and the idea of objective truth and fact often pales against the notion of "reparative justice" for the past sins of whites. It is all aided and abetted by many of the politicians that the black community elects, and their political plantation the DemocRAT party.
All this despite the historical truth that the DemocRAT party is the party of lynchings, the KKK, poll taxes, Jim Crow, anti-Reconstruction, and that the GOP was responsible for the 13, 14 15th amendments, the 1st black Lt. Governors, the first black US Senators, the 1st black state legislators, every piece of foundational Civil Rights legislation from 1866-1968, that it was FOUNDED to oppose slavery, and on and on.
I wish it were not so, but untill the black community acquires a bit more introspection nothing is going to get better.
Wow ...what a great post! I am so glad at least some African Americans know this. The party of freedom is the party of principle..the other is a shameless exploits any grievance anyone can articulate. Haha from the people that brought you Jim Crow laws... good one Frank ..thank you!
