I am so outraged by this I can't speak! To call it a travesty is a gross understatement.

"If you believe that, you should be happy that Libby is not at OVP any more."

I find it as easy to believe that Libby forget the specific content of those conversations as you believe Russert forgot being on the Imus show, forgot being on the Today show, forgot making the "Santa Claus" comment, forgot about grand jury regulations that he had more than once explained on national television, and forgot about writing a letter to a newspaper defending his role as a debate moderator. The fact is, before the media concocted the "outing" theory, Plame's role was just a sidebar, background info, that didn't really get to the heart of what Wilson was claiming.

David Shuster is devastated.

Fritz said there will be no knew investigations unless someone brings in some unknown information, the case is basicly done.

Then David was saying will you try to get Libby to sqeal on his boss?

I agree, but I do think Libby got himself in trouble, and I don't think his atty. served him well.

Why was the fact that Valerie Plame had a desk job at the time of this "outing" not bought up during the trial?

Obstruction of justice alone equals 10 years of hard time. Each additional count = five years

And Federal sentencing guidelines insure that he wont serve any where near that much time. Unlikely he will serve more than three years if that. Presumably Bush will pardon him.

Tim Russert and Matt Cooper you low-life POSs, so help both of you God.

I agree.  This whole trial was outrageous from the word "go".

Chris Matthews has just been taken to the hospital with uncontrolled orgasms and doctors aren't sure he'll recover.

The Wilsons will now be expecting their movie to be a sell-out.

As I said in a recent post, the nation only supported Jury Nullification during the OJ and BJ trials.

You would prefer that they not go by the book and give him preferential treatment?

"Fitz says he doesn't expect to file any other charges"

Well, that's one point for Fitz. However, he's still behind on the score. And I'm afraid the Democrats will insist on it.

Maybe they'll try to impeach Cheney.

Fitz seems to fancy himself as a modern day Elliot Ness.

You are spot on. That's what the Chicago media were calling him before this mess because he started going after Mayor Daley and his cronies in Chicago government. Seems he bought is own hype. {Shaking my head in disappointment}

It's completely insane.

There's blood in the water now, the Democratic sharks are going to be looking for more victims.

Fitzgerald has just given reporters free reign to do anything and say anything they want without having to back it up.

That's a dire forecast. I'm thinking if they try and impeach Bush, it will hurt them in '08. Impeachment proceedings are a pretty overt display of power. The electorate may shy away from them if they throw too much weight around impeaching the President. They might ultimately vote AGAINST Hillary instead of FOR Giuliani (or whoever).

If I were a Dem, I'd keep my powder dry and worry about '08. The Electoral College is safe. Fly-over states would never ratify such a change to the Constitution.
