Poor Libby! Screwed by the D.C. liberal clowns. The junk journalists like Russert and Mitchell are breathing a big sigh of relief.

There is no direct evidence of anything, just gossip of he said/he said stuff and that isn't strong enough to convict IMO, but these are mostly probably government employees on the jury.

There's something ironic -- and rather amusing -- about seeing a lawyer as a defendant in a case like this (regardless of party affiliation). There isn't one thing funny about any of this.
To: Howlin
OH No. AP reporting guilty on four counts, so says fox.

AP....guilty on all 5 counts! What a sham... a ridiculous prosecution based on hearsay that was not allowed to be adequately challenged by the defense.
And then the jury returns "guilty" on absolutely no credible evidence.

I wish I believed in justice, but I don't anymore. Yeah, that concept disappeared a long, long time ago. Nowadays, you can have a "special prosecutor" investigate a crime (that he quickly determines never happened) on the taxpayers' dime for over a year until he trips up somebody enough to indict a ham sandwich. Thereby justifying the cost of paying a staff and living high on the hog. It is a disgrace.

I'm thoroughly disgusted...but not surprised. Guilty on 4 of 5 counts. And there we have it...another waste of our tax dollars...and for what? All to legitimize a ridiculous investigation about a non-crime? How embarrassing. Prayers for Libby and even more for Vice President Cheney because we all know they will go after him now.

The wire services have the verdict before the jury has read it? Is this trial ENDING with a leak?
To: Howlin
The jury was too stupid to understand the counts. They were asking basic questions as late as this morning, according to Fox.
This is a travesty. I hope Fitzgerald rots in h*ll.

Exactly. Fitz was shopping for jury in DC from the very start it was his only chance.
And Libby's team was getting appeals ducks in a row from the very start, and there is more than enough there.
